“As someone who likes eating out but still wants to stay on the healthier side, I love Lotus 8. The food always tastes fresh and light, not greasy, and they have so many great veggie options. The stir-fried greens, dumplings, and noodle bowls are all super tasty and filling. You can really tell they use fresh ingredients and stick to authentic Cantonese flavors. I used to think I had to drive to Sacramento to get good Chinese food, but honestly, Lotus 8 has become my go-to spot in Folsom.

“The papaya salad is to die for and the customer service has been great both times I have gone from the asian make owner! My guy friend and I have gone once for dining in and the second time when my guy friend and I got takeout. I can’t stop raving about the papaya salad! It’s a must try and I dream about it in my sleep it’s so good with the noodles and so spicy! Lol. I’m in love and drooling... o baby!!! Lol come here and eat, the other dishes are mediocre and the hot pot we tried the first time wa so so due to the broths we weren’t a fan of and the meat and seafood weren’t of good quality and had gone bad when we had gotten to them in the fridge. “This is our favorite neighborhood spot. Always consistent. Food is fresh and flavorful! All time faves are General Chicken and the Stir Fried clams, but honestly, everything is great.“

“This place is so good!!! I can’t recommend it enough. To start, my drink always comes out very quickly. I personally believe that Moon Tea is one of the only boba places worth going to. Another note, I was reading the reviews and most people that left lower reviews all complained about the customer service. I have a boba addiction and come sometimes more than once a week and the customer service has always been great. The staff are very nice, even if they aren’t all super talkative. Also, I have been to pretty much all of the boba places in the roseville/rocklin area, and Moon Tea is by far the best. Overall, if you are looking for a boba place to go, Moon Tea is one of the best ones I have ever been to.“

“My first visit here. I enjoyed the vermicelli with chicken dish was nicely prepared and came with a serving of their sauce mixture. I thought it was very good and the chicken had a nice flavor and was not dried out. I nearly did not go in because the storefront was blackened and was a bit surprised when the door opened.“

“This is really a hidden gem, best dumplings I’ve had in a long time. All dumplings are made by hand and are very delicious. Seeing is believing, and I saw the lady making the dumplings. I ordered wonton soup, which was very tasty. My wife ordered steamed dumplings that was delicious, and I ordered the fried dumplings. My wife also ordered Ube steamed buns 😁. The pickled cucumbers wasn’t spicy, but was flavorful. ( I can’t eat a lot of spicy foods) every once in awhile is ok. I took home my fried dumplings some of my wife’s steamed dumplings and the pickled cucumbers for an add on for our evening meal. From where I was sitting I could see Folsom Dam. Traveling 10 miles for some delicious dumpling was worth the distance.“

The food was exceptional as ever, with the beef served in a box so tender it almost melted in the mouth. The hot prawn salad and mango roll were standouts, while the kataifi—a dessert that Red Lantern has uniquely served for nearly a decade—remains unmatched.
