“Food: The Vietnamese lemongrass pork chop tastes good. The pan-fried dragonfly is of good quality, but the mushroom sauce is too bland.
Dining environment: There were many guests at 7pm on Friday dinner time, and the interior decoration did not have sound-absorbing materials, so it was quite noisy.“

The food was served beautifully. The drink I ordered was a display of artistry from the bar. The plated presentations were mini masterpieces to behold. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. The salmon was juicy and tasty.

However, something in the red sauce caused my lips to burn and turned my stomach. By 2 am, the vegetables I had eaten had raced through my gut and were gone. That is a sign of a bad allergen and anaphylaxis missed by minutes. I keep antihistamines and epinephrine on me for just such an emergency.

I don't blame the chef or kitchen staff for it because it is my risk to even come to a place that serves dishes with shrimp, crab, clams, scallops, mussels and other things that should or do have a shell. Even with perfect culinary skills, cross contamination can happen and it's not the kitchen's fault, nor the server's.

The staff did their best to try to rectify things, but my stomach was too far gone with that single burning lips event. Thankfully, no hives have appeared. The staff tried, really they did, to fix things, but there was nothing they could do to fix it. Even the tiramisu peace offering didn't work. I said no to desert and I meant it. I would say it was an insult, but I know they were doing their best to make my dining experience a good one.

The staff were smiles the entire evening. The manager showed appropriate levels of concern, and I appreciate that.

Would I return to Bruno's? Maybe. Not any time soon.“

“We had the Bambino house pasta dish [ delicious we ordered this for our women's retreat, for 80 women; Pescador pasta; seafood pasta; pesto sandwich with side of cold Pasta salad [ we also ordered this for our retreat for our lunch, for 80 women], avocado salad. Their avocado salad is a must try as well as the other dishes. Their sauces are light n delicious. Extraordinary place to have a family evening out. They go out of their way to make you comfortable. 5 ? familt restaurant.

I had some caprese , burata, Fior Di Latte and the Vespa Pizza along with a Limonata Rosa. Our Service Yadira was amazing and very attentive. She was very helpful with any questions we had. “Prices have gone up so it's not as affordable as before, but excellent food for a $18-22ish per meal. Can't go wrong with their lasagna, chicken marsala, or manicotti with alfredo. Any entree can be turned into a "complete dinner" with minestrone soup or dinner salad, garlic bread, a small glass of wine, and scoop of ice cream for a $3-4 upcharge. All tables get a plate of carrots and peppercinis with ranch dressing to whet your appetite.“

“Lascaris’s never disappoints from there pizza to there sandwiches. Ordered the large Roast Beef, Ham and turkey sandwhich with cheese. The bread was nice and soft and came with mayo lettuce and tomatoes. The sandwhich also comes with a side to which I got the macaroni which was nice and creamy. Sandwiched and side totaled 15.50$ I also threw in some bbq chips for a 1.25$ more total came out to 16.75 which felt was pretty decent. I would definitely recommend Lascaris to anyone looking for fresh yummy Italian food.“

“I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Italian restaurant last night, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. Our server, Bianca, was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel like family. She recommended some delightful wine pairings that perfectly complemented each dish.

We started with the rosemary white bean soup, which was to die for—rich, creamy, and bursting with herbaceous flavors. The bruschetta and olive tapenade followed, both fresh and perfectly seasoned, making for an excellent progression of flavors. The highlight, though, was the restaurant’s signature dish, the Pescatera. It was absolutely phenomenal, featuring a delicate balance of seafood flavors that were expertly seasoned and cooked to perfection.

“I've been there 3 times and plan to keep going. I ask the bartender to make a Speedbump, a delicious cocktail that was supposedly created by the Cat and the Custard Cup's former bartender, Smitty, but each time, the bartender says they don't have all the ingredients. Well, get them! How hard is that? I can't be the only person who asks for it.

The hostess gave out an odd sigh when we told her we didn't have reservations. It was strange.

The food is pretty good.

I like that they have many nights of live music.

I am going to keep going and my hope is that they keep improving things, so I can change my rating to a 5!“

“We went for my cousins birthday and we had a blast! We ordered the breakfast pizza and the breakfast tower. Everything tasted amazing and the portions where generous more then enough for our party of 4. All the cocktails are amazing we probably tried the entire drink menu lol. We will be going back“

“Fabulous hole in the wall! Seating area is small and dinner rush fills up really quick so best to call ahead to make sure table availability. The bruschetta is abundant with flavor and comes with a lot to share, definitely my favorite appetizer. I recommend trying your pasta with their vodka sauce, it tastes unlike any other vodka sauce I’ve had before and adds a nice garlicky kick to your entree. If you’re feeling a pizza, I like the margherita and there’s a bunch of basil so don’t worry about there only being one leaf on each slice. The gelato is sweet and dense and a nice way to cool off the night. Pistachio and almond I recommend. Staff is friendly and the manager loves to come around to talk with customers. Wish this place had more seating because everyone deserves to try this place.“

Upon entering the restaurant though, I was met with an incredibly strong odor that kind of threw me off. It never left my nose as I ventured to my table. I had a gnocchi soup and Shrimp Alfredo, along with a raspberry lemonade. The food arrived in an incredibly timely manner considering how packed the restaurant was, and once received, I ate it with fervor. However, even my starved stomach and palette couldn't ignore the strong after taste in the soup. I'm not sure what it was, but it wasn't very pleasant. The shrimp Alfredo was decent too but a bit too creamy and sweet. Our waiters were kind and very expedient so bravo there! But I do expect the food's quality to meet their brilliance! This is all to say, fantastic service with a decent bite, thanks for being there Olive Garden.“

“Olive Garden's current endless pasta special asks an intriguing utilitarian question of its customers: how much stomach pain are you willing to endure so that you can tell yourself that the restaurant lost money?

I do actually feel that Olive Garden's Alfredo sauce is the closest to good, homemade Alfredo out of the classic Italian restaurant chains, and their soups + salads are always good staples. I do find them a little pricey unless you do the endless lunch special (but yk, Italian food).

Service has consistently been great and telling the waiter when to stop putting cheese on my food is the highlight of my night. I ❤️ Olive garden.“

“Thank you Richard. I came here to celebrate my sister’s 17th birthday on a Sunday during prime time lunch/evening hours. From the start they said it was busy and had little servers. We’re a family of 8 who are big backed and were unfortunately asking for a ton of requests (refills, toppings, more soup, etc). Despite our constant needs and it being short staffed, Richard constantly checked in with us and even made sure he was able to bring additional servers to sing happy birthday to my sister with a free slice of cake. He did everything to make our experience a great one. Additionally my little sister left her bag and he was able to retrieve it right away. He left my family and I blown away with his helpfulness and humor. So much so, we’re leaving a review in his name. Thank you Richard.“

“Owner Operator Jose A Portillo has a gem of an Italian restaurant in Baldwin Park. Stopped in early on a Friday for some dinners to-go. My elderly parents are mostly homebound and they are very fond of this little eatery. I was deeply impressed with the service and attention from Jose himself during our visit. And this was for to-go orders. We got two orders of La Pescadori and a meatball sandwich. The dishes were spectacular and the care and love from El Appetiz was world class.“
