I absolutely love this place. It’s currently my favorite restaurant in town!! I’ve gone back several times to try the new dishes on the menu but my favorites are the egg salad and the lemongrass pork. I recommend dining with a group of friends to try several options since dishes are family style. Don’t sleep on the drinks either, very fun and eclectic twists! I would say my only disappointment was the dessert. We ordered the po taat and it was alright. I hope they have better...read full review

Chu Mai is a restaurant that takes Vietnamese and Southeast Asian flavors and elevates them into a contemporary dining experience that is both creative and approachable. The food is beautifully plated, and the ingredients are very fresh. Nothing is too heavy — all light, all refreshing. The small plates are perfectly sized, and getting a bunch of small plates allows guests to taste a lot and get a lot of food. For more food, get the big plates. Dishes are family style, so dining with a group of friends to try several options is recommended. Favorites include the egg salad and the lemongrass pork. The lemongrass pork steak is one of the best dishes in Sac — zesty, bright, and with a delicious crunchy slaw. The drinks are very fun and eclectic, with a Baijiu highball standing out, and the bartender will create custom cocktails. The dessert, the po taat, was alright. The service is amazing, with workers very nice and attentive to food allergies and cross-contamination. The atmosphere is modern and welcoming, perfect for date night or dinner with friends. This restaurant comes highly recommended — five stars, or even 10.
