“We celebrated early Father’s dinner today as usual the foods are sooo good. Kudos to Chaly who was so cheerful and looks like she is happy to be working there. I like that they keep their bathroom clean and smells good compare to other Asian restaurant that typically dirty. It just shows that they really mean business. “(2/7/21) Went in today and was not disappointed! Ordered seafood pad see ew, beef broccoli, and chicken fried rice; all three were freshly made, the beef was tender, broccoli wasn’t soggy, but super fresh! The rice was moist and soft just like I was craving it; and the gravy was exactly what I was hoping for. The only thing I would do differently would be asking for extra shrimp, my kids ate them and only left me one 🤣 The Thai tea was so good, I ordered a second one for later 👌 I’ll definitely be going back to try other things off their menu 👌“

Ai chưa ăn thử bánh bèo và bánh xèo ở chỗ chị này làm thì nên ghé mua về ăn thử nha. Bánh xèo giòn rụm, cuốn với rau, rồi chấm nước mắm…chỉ có một từ NGON 😋. These owners work very hard to feed us on the Sacramento area, and I chose to support them because without them, I would be spending 2x as much somewhere else.“

“I ordered Umami Express via Uber Eats, so I can't speak to the atmosphere, but the food? It was ridiculously good. I had never had forbidden black rice before, but its now my favorite. I am even learning to make it at home. I ordered a wagu beef rice bowl. I really didn't have any expectations as I was just looking for something quick and healthy. This bowl blew me away. They chop all the vegetables up into small cubes, so they really blend with the bowl well. They also put a lot of thought into their preparation, preparing the ingredients at low temperatures, to maintain as much nutrients as possible. I really liked their sauces even before I learned that they are sugar and dairy free! Overall, the meal I had was very tasty, very hardy, and very nutritious. I look forward to trying more off their menu.“

If you’re looking for something out of this world, or dirt cheap, this isn’t the place. If you love seeing the same smiles of people that make your food every visit, that’s what this place gives you.

I walk in and hear top 40 pop hits play quietly in the background, very soon greeted by the most polite cashier lady ever.
She gives me food recommendations, sesame chicken, beef, or chicken teriyaki bowl. I’m with my girlfriend, so we get beef and sesame.

We sit down, take in the very humble and quaint atmosphere. This place isn’t pretending to be bigger than what it is. Stuff like fridges and food warmers lie empty, not many folk dine in from what I can tell, but it’s nice. It’s pristine, the 90s interior adorned with fake plants and some paintings scattered about. It feels like the kinda restaurant you’d walk into in the early 2000s as a young kid and vaguely remember.

The food arrives, a gentleman delivers it all on a red plastic tray, along with our shared sprite. The presentation of the food within the bowls is superb, bowls aren’t massive, but they ain’t tiny either, rice, then veg, and protein on top. I’m a big guy, and I eat big, but this bowl managed to satisfy my appetite. Food was simply yummy, couldn’t point out any overt saltiness, or skimping on portions. I just enjoyed the meal. Enjoyed the company of my girlfriend who was also enjoying her meal. We were happy. We finished our bowls. Threw our garbage and were told ‘goodnight’ and ‘thank you’. We exchanged the same words. Both parties with smiles.

Food is good. Not great. A product of the growing reliance on take out orders that small businesses rely on to get by, but that doesn’t discourage me from coming back. I love the owners, love the time capsule nature of this place.

Stellar service, decent food, Japanese named, Korean owned for reasons I’ll probably learn eventually, and a small business worth supporting when you want a peaceful meal in the evening.

“The Ambiance here is actually like a banquet hall and also they do have a room where they serve regular dinner and lunch too. I really like the remodel inside it is quite roomy and I do love the nice decoration of the chairs to the tables.

For the food I got to try out the chicken noodle soup and it had a really good clear broth and your regular noodles. There was big chunks of yellow steamed chicken in there.

I also got to try out there spicy lemongrass soup with beef and it had a really good miles spicy to it and I do love the vermicelli rice noodle to it as well. The portion size was great. Bun bo hue is a mess if you're looking for something spicy Lemon Grass beef broth.

They also have your Chinese food like your chicken chow mein and fried rice to chow fun. They also have family banquet dinner specials if you're looking for a party or to host a banquet.

Overall this place is a must for people that is looking for Vietnamese and Chinese food. I am so glad it brings back memories when it used to be a dim sum spot when I was a kid.
