This place is so cool! You can't beat the awesome views of downtown! And the place has a cool, elegant, retro, intimate vibe. The menu is limited but we ordered almost one of everything and everything was super delicious! The service started out a bit slow but then got better as the night went on. Super cool place and definitely will be going back again someday!
Cool rooftop spot with a nice view of the city. The drinks and food available here were really good and very well presented. The decor of Clayton club is top notch and quite elegant. The seats are comfortable and available both indoor and outdoor on the rooftop balcony area. In addition there is bar seating as well around there fully stocked bar. No reservations are required here, we went during the weekday so it wasnt very busy for our group. I would imagine however that Friday...read full review

The Clayton Club Lounge, located on the 6th floor of the Hyatt Centric Hotel in Sacramento, California, offers a cozy and intimate setting for guests to relax and enjoy a range of expertly crafted cocktails. The lounge boasts a cool vibe, with low lighting and a corner display of album covers that pay tribute to jazz musicians, creating a sophisticated ambiance. The rooftop provides great views, especially during sunset when flocks of black birds fly nearby, creating an interesting sight. The food has an Indian fusion vibe, with highlights like the flatbread pizza and burgers. Service is always attentive, with welcoming staff offering recommendations. The indoor lounge remains a comfortable and inviting space, even when outdoor seating is closed due to weather. The gender-neutral bathrooms are spotless, contributing to the overall pleasant environment. Parking can be tricky, as the nearby garage closes early, but the unique experience makes it worth the visit.
The bartender, Tone, is praised for his personable and talented approach, as he personally crafts the bitters used in some of the drinks, including the delicious Old Fashioned. Guests also enjoy the very good Martini and the Watermelon Man drink, along with mocktails like "shootin the breeze." The restaurant serves absolutely delicious pizza! The dough is perfectly flavorful, and the cheese is incredibly smooth and creamy. The cocktails are also amazing. The Lady Bird cocktail is fresh, sweet, and just the right amount of sour. Their Negroni is outstanding. Overall, the staff, including servers and bartenders, are friendly, attentive, and professional, making it a must-visit spot for great food, drinks, and excellent service.
While the rooftop views are a highlight, some guests find the indoor area small and the outdoor space lacking decoration, which can make it feel somewhat sterile and boring, similar to a work conference patio. Despite these critiques, the overall vibe is far from average, and the experience remains memorable, especially for those seeking quality cocktails, delicious food, and great service.
