Temple Coffee Reviews
Coffee is the best in town, but they’re also a business that gives back to the community! After reaching out to support a nonprofit event, Temple promptly responded that they’d cover the coffee…for 50 people! Amazed by their generosity and very thankful to have Temple in Davis.
I came here twice during my visit in Sacramento. It’s a lovely place with a constant flow of customers. I ordered a soy latte and a lemon lavender muffin. Weirdly I got a sort of carrot cake like muffin instead and my latte was only warm, not hot. I still loved both. There are so many vegan pastries-enjoy!!

Unsweetened iced red tea is fantastic. Iced latte that my friend got also looked good. Prices are a little higher, as with all Temple locations, so expect $5 per drink across the board. The staff are super nice. I appreciated their bilingual skills to take my friends' orders in Spanish. Only thing is most every chair is a high top. The two communal tables are all stool-level and the rungs dont have a high enough footrest. Regular height chairs on the left wall, but limited. Short...read full review

Temple Coffee is a local chain that started in Sacramento in 2005. The downtown location on 9th and J feels rooted in the city. The coffee is taken seriously, with clean, precise espresso and a strong single-origin focus. The rotating selection is always good. One reviewer always gets a pourover and buys beans to make coffee at home. Another had the Columbia, described as syrupy, which tasted great. The Mexican Mocha was nice, and the seasonal fruit and cheese Danish was flaky and delicious. The Bliss tea and raspberry almond muffin were also tasty. Service is efficient, calm, and met expectations. The baristas are sweet, helpful, and friendly. The interior is minimalist with concrete, wood, and live-edge tables. It is comfortable and well maintained. There is some outdoor seating. The atmosphere is nice, calm, and quiet. The ordering system is slightly unconventional—order at the espresso machine and pay after. There are restrooms for customers. Free parking is available in front before 8am. Some homeless people come in, which is a normal part of downtown life. The staff is equally friendly with everyone.
