Been craving fried chicken and this place is where I will go if I get a craving again and oh boy the cornbread and gumbo is great.

This place is a whole vibe. Outstanding customer service. The lady at the window was super attentive, great recommendations without feeling like it was pushy upsales. The older, worn tables and chairs with the music under the patio awning gives it a feeling of home, family, backyard BBQ. Just missing the alcohol and dominoes. The food was flat out amazing. Tori's Place | Southern Food is a family-owned restaurant with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. The food is good and made with lots of love, offering generous portions at excellent prices. The cornbread is insanely good, described as straight OG and damn good, with a down home meal taste. The fried chicken is juicy, crispy, and tasty. The gumbo is tasty, to die for, and the hot water Chile is especially enjoyable. However, some items are very spicy, including the dressing, mac and cheese, green beans, and hot sausage. The mac and cheese was a bit odd and not a traditional baked version. The atmosphere is unorthodox, and the place could use a touch up on its design and cleanliness. Despite this, the restaurant has all the things that matter most, offering southern taste at a great price. Ordering online may have issues, such as missing beef hot links, so calling first is recommended. Overall, the food is smacking and fire, and the restaurant deserves business.
