“They make the best sandwiches here. I love getting either the Breakfast Burrito or the Breakfast sandwich on the way to work. The people who make my food are very nice. I love the turkey sandwich the most. My husband loves the Always Thanksgiving sandwich. They also have a great selection of fresh breads. My favorite is the Dutch Crunch.“

For a lil store selling Boars Head sandwiches, this place is pretty solid. The tri tip sandwich smacks and for $16 it's priced just about right. Other sandwiches are priced lower depending on what you get

Whenever I go I always get everything in it like peppers, tomatoes, pickles, pepperchini, etc. Everything is pretty fresh

If you go here for lunch dont go at standard lunch times like 11-12 otherwise you might be waiting in line because it's a popular spot.

They cook it in house and use the deli slicer to cut the tri tip, so it is never chewy and always tastes great. The staff is friendly and efficient and there is plenty of seating. “The breakfast burrito here is genuinely excellent. I went for the sausage this time, with the chorizo firmly on my list for tomorrow. What impressed me most was how well it held up on the walk home, still piping hot after 30 minutes, cheese perfectly melted throughout. The balance is spot on too; not overly loaded with potato, which lets the other flavours shine.

The salsa that comes with it is a standout in its own right, and the tortilla deserves a mention also, warm, flaky, and clearly fresh, whether they make them in house or not. Brilliant value all round.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Highly recommended!“

“Amazing! Landed at SFO around 1am EST (10pm Local) and was wanting a bite, looked up the best places near my gate and found Klein’s Deli. Asked a worker what their favorite was and they said their famous sandwich is “The mission”. They were very nice and made my sandwich very fast! Even the woman who checked me out helped point me in the direction of where I could get some water. Very sweet staff, and an amazing sandwich! Definitely will be coming back here on my next trip to SFO!“

“I celebrated my graduation last night in this excellent restaurant. Well we passed a marvelous evening and the restaurant was evidently one of the reasons for that happy meeting. “Hayward has always been a pass through town for me, that is until Brosco Bill and his little stab Coco de Avantè told me about Pick-A-Deli.
They claimed it's the best deli in the bay area! Well....That's a pretty tall statement, so I left my little hamlet of Napa and made the trek to Hayward to see for myself. When I get a request to visit a new deli I always order the same thing, a simple ham sandwich, and leave the rest up to the maker. I got my sando, and it was perfectly prepared, an even distribution of meat, perfect amounts of mayo and the dijon was well balanced, the sliced sourdough was a great accompaniment as were the chips and a crisp kosher pickle.
Is Pick-A-Deli the best deli in the bay area...No, Is it in the top 10, ...Yes!
