Cafe Bassam Reviews
The space is absolutely to die for. It is beautiful with so many unique artifacts everywhere.
While names of the drinks are a bit unusually named vs what I used they are all lovingly crafted and so far wonderful.
I had the Espresso W.S. Cream (aka Espresso con panna) I've never gotten as much cream as I was given and the espresso still had a deep enough flavor to cut through and represent itself.
Amazing place I will be returning!

This place is just lovely, with a great selection teas and coffees. It's a great place to socialize with friends or sit and read for a bit.
Feels like stepping back in time but walking out with delicious coffee. My wife likes tea and she thinks the same thing with their tea selection.

Cafe Bassam is a charming and iconic cafe that has been a beloved neighborhood staple for years. Stepping into the cafe is like taking a step back in time, with its beautiful old furniture, eclectic decor, and classic music playing throughout the high-ceilinged space. Visitors can also enjoy antique rifles on display, adding a unique touch to the ambiance. The decor, music, and overall vibe create a sophisticated and cozy environment ideal for thoughtful conversations or focused work, making it a perfect escape from the busy world.
The cafe's owner, Bassam, is known for his warm hospitality and attention to detail. Customers often recall their friendly interactions with him, whether it's the chocolate kisses he gives to children or the welcoming atmosphere he fosters. The staff, including the young female assistants, are praised for their excellent service and attentiveness, ensuring a pleasant experience for all visitors.
The menu at Cafe Bassam offers a variety of delectable options, from well-made coffees and milkshakes to delicious sandwiches like the Turkey Melt Panini and the Sun-Dried Tomato Panini. The Date Cookies have become a signature item, loved by many, and the fresh fruit sides that accompany the sandwiches add to the meal’s appeal. Customers also enjoy the wide selection of teas, with the herbal tea selection being top tier, including chamomile sage and chamomile lavender, which are especially soothing. The coffee, such as the cappuccino, is described as very delicious and tasteful, prepared by knowledgeable baristas who take care of drink orders well.
Visitors often linger longer than planned, enjoying treats such as moist, yummy carrot cake or their favorite coffee. The atmosphere is warm and artistic, with beautiful wooden details that make it inviting. The sweets and coffee are always well-prepared, and the overall experience leaves many eager to return. The cozy ambiance and late hours make it a perfect spot to relax, study, or catch up with friends, while the herbal teas and delicious drinks make every visit special.
Though most reviews highlight the excellent experience, some mention that the quality of the coffee can sometimes vary, and staff may not always distinguish between different coffee types like latte and cappuccino. Nonetheless, Cafe Bassam remains a true neighborhood gem, offering a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere, delicious food and drinks, and attentive service that encourages repeat visits.
