This is a casual, working class venue and everyone is pleasant and its no frills. It's my go-to Mexican food spot on the west end of the Miramar Rd. They make great tasting food, plus you can eat indoors or outside. They are near 805 and you can call ahead to order. Donato's does a great job! Parking is free.
They have something called the 'Jalapeno Burrito' which is a combination of carne asada, refried beans, bacon and pickled jalapeno slices. It's a good size too, not one of those 'big as your forearm' burritos. The combination of textures and tastes is really good.

Donato's has the same quality and menu items as many similar taco shops in the area. Their food is about equal to Rigoberto's and better than Roberto's. Their fish taco is not as good as Rubio's.Their lot is in a small shared strip mall with numerous other good restaurants. Parking may be a challenge. This location used to be a Roberto's many years ago. It seems like they did not change the interior or even the booths when they took it over. That is not a problem, just nostalgic....read full review
