It feels like coming to Mexico with friends and buying hamburgers locally. Looking at the Mexican flag outside and the mural on the street... If you go to the side of the restaurant, there is a small outdoor table, so the burgers you eat there are good. A homemade burger and a delicious glass of cola. The hamburger crust is not thick and juicy, so it's good for a light hamburger. On a nice day, enjoy the street murals and recommend a delicious burger.
Stopped by Hayes Burger last night and loved it. Hayes is a small business that deserves more attention in my opinion. A helpful young man helped us right as we walked in. They have a simple menu of cheeseburgers or grilled cheese and fries. The burgers are absolutely delicious and, as the menu says, smashed to perfection. Classic Barrio Logan staple. Really liked the basic cheeseburger with the chile gueros. Ingredients are fresh, tasty, and savory. The animal style fries or Jimi fries as they are coined, are pretty tasty. Would return. Price point is a bit high, but I’d say every now and then it’s totally worth it. The art direction within the space is spontaneous and gives a street art style which is cool. I should mention the staff is great and relaxed, too.
