I never even knew what a Poke Bowl was, but I wanted to support my local small businesses and grab something to eat before I went grocery shopping. I swung into Poke Zip, and within 8 minutes she had a magnificent sushi-like bowl setup for me that was so good, I had to wait outside of Ralph's for 10 minutes while my mouth and stomach took some time to enjoy the experience. I really do love this place, the staff is amazing and the poke is delicious. But for how much the food is please turn on the AC!!It’s always so uncomfortably hot in there and maybe it’s just me but poke sitting in a hot room does not sound appetizing.

Good rice is a critical ingredient to good poke. This place got the rice just right, in my opinion. Also special extras like the sweet scrambled egg (tamago) and pickled beets earn them an extra star.
