Based on the reviews, Encuentro Cafe is a hidden gem in Old Town with amazing food and very friendly staff. The restaurant has a great ambiance and is in a convenient spot close to Old Town and the airport. The food is fresh, delicious, and perfectly seasoned. The customer service is top notch. Specific meals mentioned include the Encuentro Board and La Americana Arepa, which were unique and delicious. The breakfast arepa tasted similar to a breakfast burrito. Other menu items include the El Vainero cachapas with fish, Reina Pepeda arepa, Pelua, and La Vegana. The arepas are stuffed to the brim and one is enough for an entire meal. The restaurant also serves guanabana juice, hot Mexican spiced mocha, Quesillo, arroz con leche, and passion fruit mimosa. On Tuesdays, they have half off four of their arepas. While the food is excellent, one complaint was that it took about 10 minutes after a sandwich was received to get the sauces. Overall, Encuentro Cafe is a spot that surpasses expectations and is worth returning to.
