“Joe is great. After our Uber drive dropped us in the wrong place, Joe would tell us how to get there, he took us there. It was only at the end of the block, but meant the world to us. He wouldn’t accept a tip, so went back to have a beer after dinner. He remembered our name. He is the true meaning of customer service and I’ve told all of my friends to go see him at the Showdown. “Benders is a classic, one of my favorites. It was a regular stop in the tour of dive bars on a Friday evening and always had an edge on the others because of its size and food offerings to appease both vegetarians and carnivores alike. Bartenders are solid here, quick and efficient and don't waste your time or theirs. If you are a dive bar connoisseur, then Benders is a must try.

“This was my 1st visit to San Francisco on my birthday! Hidive was welcoming, with great staff, good drinks, and a great bar top food menu! Started the day out there with margaritas, and stopped back in for some wings and a nightcap at the end of the day. It was great!“

“Wow... we simply don't know how we have never had a meal here before. It was pre-COVID the last time we were here for a show, but we never had a meal. After our visit late this afternoon, we will be back often! The drinks are great, for sure. And the rustic dining area is an absolutely delightful plus! And the food, well, sure, it's simple pub food, but it is the tastiest pub food we've had in a very long time. Be sure to stop by here for a nosh and a kolsch, or any other beverage. You will be happy you did!“

“The decor and ambience is very modern while still maintaining the original design and foundation. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Place gets busy even during baseball games. Went here before the giants game and was quite impressed. I’d love to come back next time I’m in town. The food and drinks were impressive and left me wanting more. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. You definitely won’t be disappointed if you decide to stop by.“

“Talk about food that melts in your mouth and cooked to perfection. A5 beef, wagyu gyoza, salmon belly, scallops, and mochi cake were all out of this world! Delicious cocktails and an atmosphere that’s both modern and vintage.

Went here for an evening networking event and felt like it had this classy underground feel because of the DJ + Technics turntables right when you walk in, and then you turn the corner and see 2 massive speakers w/o their grilles behind the bar, which is filled with premium Japanese whiskey & gin and vinyl covers.

“What could have been a less-than-pleasant review has turned into a 4/5 stars for me thanks to one of the co-owners jumping in to take care of us. It was 1pm on a Saturday, we came in the server working told me to order at the bar if I wanted to sit outside. He didn't bother to mention that they're only serving the brunch menu and the hard copy menu I grabbed from a table didn't have dates/times specified for service hours. Turns out they're ONLY serving brunch at 1pm... and NONE of the items we wanted (including my starving toddler) were available. I'm super appreciative of the co-owner who followed us outside and offered to check in with the chef about food options. The kitchen made my kiddo mac 'n' cheese and salmon tacos, saving my sanity.

This was completely unexpected and changed my perception of the restaurant. I'll be coming back, this time when they're serving the lunch/dinner menu so we can try everything else we wanted.

Seating isn't great for kids who aren't tall enough for bar stools. There was one standard height table in the parklet and one inside.“

The salmon salad, the salmon BLT, and the pastrami are all fire. And if you're like me and don't drink alcohol, definitely ask for a ginger beer <Yes they're alcohol-free!

“I come here once a week with friends. It is fun, clean and well managed. The staff are volunteers who are cheerful and very accommodating. It's very well sanitized and Covid safe. The food and drinks are delicious. I've been to restaurants for outdoor dining but none have come close to the positive experience I have here and in the best neighborhood in San Francisco.“

“Chesty’s is a hidden gem! Located atop the Marine’s Memorial Club Hotel near Union Square, this bar & restaurant is casual and just really good overall. Food is tasty and reliable (they have gluten-free options!) the service is friendly and efficient (Maribel was sooo sweet!) and the view from the 12 floor is wonderful! Complimentary happy hour for hotel guests as well as buffet breakfast!“

“Nice sports bar. I frequently stop in on game days for a beer and a bite to eat. The bar definitely fills up about 1.5 hours before the game. Friendly service, although there's usually a short wait. Great selection of beer and spirits. Food selections are pricey, and serving portions are ample but tasty. It would be nice if they offered game days or happy hour specials.“

“This bar is so cool! The Bartenders are so nice and make awesome drinks and and awesome kitchen! I tried one of their burgers my first time there and it was awesome! I like to go on Sundays when they have a karaoke crew come in! I always have fun coming out and meeting new and more people to sing with!“

“We loved our meal at Pied Piper and would have had many more but only stayed 3 nights at the Palace Hotel and ended up dining outside the hotel more. Dining at restaurants isn't always easy with a 5 and 2 year old but everything worked well at Pied Piper. Service was quick and friendly, food was delicious and fresh, cocktails were innovative and delicious and the ambiance was also great. Prices are super reasonable for a city hotel.“

“This is a hidden new treasure. I was there for a private event for 100 people. We were upstairs and downstairs in the back. The rest of the bar was still in action downstairs in the front. It is a great place with good music and vibe. The place is getting busier and busier so get there before you can get in. You can actually have a normal conversation at this place while enjoying the solid drinks and atmosphere. Trinity filled a hole in the bar restaurant business“

“Of course it’s expensive because it’s a sit- down restaurant in SFO airport. But even so, the food was delicious. The cheesesteaks were cooked just right and the bread was nice and soft. The chicken tenders had good flavor. And the French fries were some of the best I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend this place. Fast service too!
