My wife and I return each year on the anniversary of our first meeting at California Wine Merchant. Most recently, the owner Greg, took our photo and gave us a complimentary glass of Champagne to mark the occasion. He’s a great guy and his bar is a great place to meet up with friends, or maybe the love of your life.
We had an amazing time here. Love that you can order wine by the half glass which allowed us to try so many more wines. Louise who took our order was so delightful! She was very patient and enthusiastic in describing the different wines to us and why she likes the different wineries - we had a great conversation with her. Her wine recommendations were amazing! All the ones we tried were delicious. Can't wait to be back!
Excellent little wine bar with awesome vibes and a killer wine club. Deb and Greg are an absolute delight - clearly passionate about wine and making people happy. A go to in Marina!

California Wine Merchant is a warm and welcoming spot, with a knowledgeable and friendly owner who connects wine enthusiasts. The team is wonderful, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The wine selection is impressive, with a variety of options from around the world, including rich reds and sparkling whites. Guests can enjoy a glass of sparkling white wine from Portugal or a rich McManis Petit Syrah from Lodi. The service is friendly and happy to help select wines, making it a low-key, unpretentious wine bar. The host is exceptional at finding well-thought-out selections, even for those new to wine. While indoor seating is limited, the warm and friendly atmosphere, along with the exceptional service and prices, makes it highly recommended. Parking is available nearby if street spots are hard to find.
