Church Street Cafe Reviews
Come support Church Street Cafe, this family-owned gem in the Castro before they close their doors for good on July 28th :(
The very first time I came here I immediately fell for the mom-and-pop no-frills, homey vibe. The owner was incredibly friendly, down-to-earth and that was enough to make me want to keep coming back.
So sad to hear this spot is closing after 20 years but looking forward to their new spot in Oakland!
Tea is served in paper cups, but they do have Wi-Fi
I had an ice latte and the service was great, didn’t even have to ask for wifi, the coffee shop is confortable with enough place to work

Church Street Cafe is an underrated coworking spot near Market Street and Castro, offering super inexpensive prices (cash only) and excellent amenities, including good Wi-Fi and numerous outlets. The cozy space has a unique, dark ambiance and a large area with limited seating, as well as outdoor seating. The cafe is also notable for its clean and modern bathroom, run by smart technology. The menu features affordable bagels, including the popular nova salmon bagel, and drinks like caramel lattes. Customers often enjoy breakfast bagels or apple Danish, which are tasty and relatively healthy options. The staff is incredibly helpful, kind, and quick, providing super friendly service. This mom-and-pop shop is a hidden gem, accessible by public transit, and a favorite among locals who appreciate its welcoming atmosphere and relaxed vibe.
