Reviews for El Salvador Restaurant

I don't know if El Salvador is open during the shelter-in-place order, but I had a great meal there a few months back. The tamal de pollo and atol de elote were a revelation for me. The banana-wrapped tamal was so moist and the atol de elote was an incredible warm, comforting corn drink. Also delicious, the bistec salvadoreno was tender, and the crispy cheese edges on the pork and cheese papusa were addicting. I hope to have the opportunity to eat at El Salvador again soon!

Super yummy, authentic Salvadoran food in a tiny little place tucked away on Mission Street. Delicious pupusas, tamales, arroz and frijoles. Perfect horchata and my husband went nuts over the empanadas. Take a break from typical Mexican and enjoy their regional dishes. Don't forget the curtido on your pupusas!

This is my go-to place for breakfast anytime during the day the eggs are cooked to perfection all of the staff mostly speak Spanish I'm very limited on my Spanish but we work it on through and the staff is wonderfuland there's this older lady I don't know if she's the owner or the manager I met her somewhere else and she was telling me about the restaurant and I live right around the block from the restaurant so whenever I have a chance I always go
