“What a special evening. From the moment we walked in the door, the staff was very attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable. You could feel the love for California and Mexican heritage from the decor to the the ingredients to the serving dishes. The service was well-paced and the food was amazing and unique. Their savory flan, all three tacos, and ice cream were some of my personal favorites. Lot's of little surprises made my birthday experience warm and memorable. Louis, the GM, was a pleasure to talk with and he made us feel like VIPs. Meeting Chef Val and a few of the team members in the kitchen was the highlight of our night! We will definitely be back!“

“An incredible dining experience that is absolutely worth the high praise and accolades both locally and internationally. The wine pairing experience was phenomenal and absolutely worth it. Especially the Santa Barbara Kiln labeled Cabernet Franc. A highlight of the evening. Chef Carlos provided a very personal touch to the experience explaining each dish and requesting feedback. A dining experience that truly is one of a kind.“

“Valentine’s Day dinner, got sat 30 min early, which was nice. However the food and the experience was amazing, granted a restaurant of this caliber has its short comings when compared to the value. I will say the 4/5 plates we had were amazing and exceptional. Dessert ? Meh .“

“What a life changing meal. These photos are actually from over 2 years ago but I still think about this place regularly. I’ve had my fair share of renowned modern, refined korean food / Korean fine dining in NY and LA, and nothing quite elevates Korean food as authentically as SSAL.
This meal quite literally changed my life and showed me that fine dining can both be deeply comforting and beautifully refined at the same time.
Will probably travel to the bay just to dine here again at some point.“

“Tasting menu was tailored for the 4 vegetarians/pescatarians out of 5 in our group. Each item was very tasty and we enjoyed to the last bite. Servers were very professional and knew their stuff. Since we were there for our anniversary, we received a card from them which basically thanked us for making them part of our celebration. Classy touch!“

“We had shrimp cocktail, French onion soup, wedge salad, 20 oz ribeye with a baked potato, and a banoffee tart for dessert. We split each course and the waitstaff had the chef plate it all separately for us which made sharing easier.“

“Previously my visit in 2019 was treasured as my favorite meal I've ever had until this recent visit, which is now the greatest meal I've ever had. I'm grateful for Chef Corey Lee and his endless pursuit for excellence in elevating and innovating Asian cuisine. I came in Dec 26th the day after Christmas to see Chef Lee standing in the middle of the kitchen during service in admiration of his dedication and the dishes that were presented were exactly what I think fine dining, Michelin starred restaurants, and farm to table restaurants should represent. Taking classic Asian flavors and dishes from many different countries while using the finest produce to make dishes that set a new reference point. Some dishes were so familiar to me, the cod reminded me of my Vietnamese mom's catfish that I grew up eating, and other dishes while not nostalgic had clear intent to paint a picture through immaculate flavors and presentation. The dessert course I had in 2019 left much to be desired but this time it left me in awe at how complete the tasting menu is. Thank you Benu for an unforgettable experience.“

“The wild sf is worth being passionate about. An unbelievably hardworking team, working in a space that prioritizes intimacy between chefs, service professionals, and the guests. You cannot sit at the counter and feel disconnected from the displays of culinary excellency happening in the space. The food is innovative and inspiring, but simultaneously grounded, connected deeply to the values of the team that prepares it. The hospitality is genuine and led by some of the most talented professionals in this industry. Stop in and experience it for yourself; my words can only go so far.“

“Our group of 10 had a great experience at Cavalier because of the ambience and the entrees we ordered were delicious. However, I gave 4 stars for food because the flank steak was very good, yet doesn't come with a side. For the price, a steak needs a side! The bread pudding and panna cotta were delightful. Overall, service was great, they even showed the kids a great space upstairs to hangout while the adults finished our desserts. I would come back again when I'm in the city!“

“Fine-dining meal for $19!!This is a wonderful little restaurant, on the fourth floor of Burk Hall, that's only open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays currently. You should make a reservation on Yelp, but I think they allow walk-ins. There's a prix fix option, which is just under $20.50 after tax. You get to choose an appetizer, entree, and dessert, and drinks. Only cash or checks are accepted. The bread provided was foccacia cut into diamond-shaped pieces. The bread that they first brought out was hard and dry, so I told them it was hard. More bread was brought out promptly and it was softer, but still dry. I didn't tell them it was dry because I didn't want to be difficult. I had some lemonade to drink, and it was pretty good. I also had tea at the end, but it was piping hot and I didn't get a chance to drink much. It was fine.I chose to have the house green salad for my appetizer. It was a good mix of leafy-greens covered in vinaigrette. It wasn't special, but good. I decided to have the pasta of the week for my entree. It was penne pasta salad with feta cheese, capers, and cooked grape tomatoes. It was absolutely delicious and I basically inhaled it. For dessert, I chose the pumpkin bundt cake. It was fantastic. It was moist, soft, a little misshapen, but still delicious. The créme anglaise was like melted ice cream, and I loved it.The waiters were students and had more to learn. Service was very good, despite mistakes. The person who seemed like an instructor was great. You won't be able to find a three-course fine-dining meal anywhere else in San Francisco for the same price. The portions are good sizes and you'll leave feeling fed, but not stuffed. I highly recommend checking this place out.

“We came here to celebrate birthday. In the evening, there is only one 9-course set menu. The food is spectacular. The service is outstanding and the atmosphere is upscale. It is Michelin 3-star quality and well deserved. Considering there are only three 3-star restaurants in San Francisco. It is by all means a worthwhile visit.“

“Totally understand why this place has such a high rating!
Sushi was amazing, the wait was a little long, but if you’re on a date totally recommend, I ordered sushi and another thing ( don’t remember the name, but it was delicious),
And the fish feels sooooo fresh!
Definitely will be returning back,
Make sure to make reservation, it’s super easy, since the place is small if you come in a group might be challenging to get seated immediately,
Definitely will be coming back! 🫶🏻“

“We stumbled upon The Bombay Brasserie and had an amazing experience! 😊 The Indian-French fusion menu caught our eye, but we needed some guidance. That's when Lilian came in – super knowledgeable and helpful in picking the perfect dishes. The Lamb biryani was aromatic, and the duck samosa had the perfect crunch! Loved the ambiance too - great vibe for a dinner date. Service was top-notch. If you're in the mood for something unique, go for it! 🌟“
