House of Dim Sum offers authentic Chinese cuisine in a nice area of Chinatown, with excellent customer service and a variety of hot and fresh foods. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, capturing the lively vibes of Chinatown. The menu includes popular dishes like shu mai, har gao, and sticky rice in a leaf, which many customers find tasty and satisfying. Some items, such as xiaolongbao, sometimes contain little to no soup, and BBQ pork buns can be a bit dried out. Portions are large, and the spinach potstickers are good but have a hard shell. Customers often praise the friendly service and quick turnover, making it a good spot for a satisfying meal. However, food quality can vary, with some dishes tasting stale or oily, and prices have increased significantly. The Boba Tea and other items are sometimes overpriced, and staff may try to upsell, so customers are advised to be firm and pay in cash. Despite some inconsistency, it remains a decent place for dim sum, especially for those wanting a variety of options.
