I was attending a conference in the hotel and made a reservation for 11:00 (the time of the lunch break in the conference schedule). The restaurant accepted the reservation. The problem? They close from 11:00 to 11:30 between breakfast and lunch! Don't accept reservations when you're not actually open! After pointing this out, they did finally seat me and served me a lunch menu. Sadly this experience was overrated and underwhelming. We googled best "High Tea" experiences prior to coming to San Francisco and the Fairmont was rated near the top. Having been to the hotel before we assumed the experience would be five-star. When we arrived we were greeted by the host and seated at a lovely table. The way they cook their potatoes is interesting but I am not a fan.Their cheeseburger is surprisingly very yummy! The broth of the clams is also good.The panna cotta does not taste like panna cotta but instead tastes like yogurt.For breakfast I recommend the Fairmont Classic and Eggs Benedict.The pastries are also decent.
