MATTINA Restaurant Reviews
Great biscuit with fresh strawberry jam and butter. Solid cappuccino. Only one waitress/server/barista taking care of the whole place when I was in there, but she was a force and did it all with poise and efficiency.
Very yummy food and coffee for our brunch. We will come back for sure. Service was a bit slow, but nothing to cry about.
My Italian crepe (Crespelle) was light, tasty, and so good for breakfast. One of the few places that get the sunny egg yoke right and doesn’t over cook the egg.
Great find.

Great find.
My husband and I hosted a post-baptism lunch at Mattina after the ceremony at St. Dominic's Church, and it was absolutely perfect.
From the very beginning, the experience was wonderful. We booked well in advance for a fairly large group (17 but we lost a few people day of so we were 13), and the manager was incredibly accommodating, kind, and easy to work with throughout the planning process. Organizing an event can be stressful, but they made everything seamless.

MATTINA Restaurant is a stylish and welcoming spot in the Fillmore district, known for its outstanding Italian-inspired food and warm atmosphere. The restaurant offers a variety of delicious dishes, including pasta pie, beet and octopus salad, wood fired pizza, and handmade pastas like mushroom truffle tagliatelle. Many reviews highlight the inventive yet authentic flavors, with pasta and tiramisu receiving particular praise for their amazing texture and taste. The menu features interesting twists that add depth to the dishes, and the quality of ingredients is evident. Brunch options, such as the curried salad on milk bun, frittata with vegetables, and meatballs, are also well-liked, with some noting the fun form factor of the pasta pie.
The service at MATTINA is consistently praised as warm, professional, and well-timed, making it suitable for everything from quick coffee breaks to leisurely lunches. The restaurant's atmosphere is both refined and inviting, with a chic setting complemented by thoughtful details like decadent homemade gelato. The $26 Weekday Lunch Special offers a high-quality, three-course meal at a great value. While most dishes impress, some mention that appetizers may not be worth the price, and a few dishes can be inconsistent in timing. Overall, MATTINA provides an exceptional dining experience that many are eager to revisit.
