The service at Monte’s was excellent. But the food I ordered the waterfront Benedict was a disappointment. The crabmeat was so little you hardly can see it.
It’s been years since I went to this bar. We had just visited the Institute of Contemporary Art of San Francisco across the street. It was that sweet spot where some bars or restaurants don’t open until 4pm. We decided to stop by since it was open and it looked cozy plus they had the game on. The staff was accommodating in pushing seats and tables to accommodate the group. Prices were a bit steep so we only stayed for one drink. Breakfast: ZERO stars. Unbelievably expensive for simple eggs, flavorless potatoes, and precooked and warmed sausage links. And $7 for black coffee after charging so much already!?!? What world do they live? Save the time and go to any corner shop instead.
Dinner/ bar: 4 stars! Really cool little spot and vibe. Super fast service which was a surprise. Spicy Asian chicken was two thin fried chicken thighs which gave great crunch. A little tough but not terrible. Steak frites...read full review

Monte's Bar is a cozy bar and restaurant, mainly for hotel guests. The staff is kind, accommodating, and provides super fast service, creating a really cool little spot and vibe. While breakfast is considered unbelievably expensive for simple items, the dinner and bar experience is good. The Spicy Asian chicken and steak frites are recommended dishes. Prices for drinks can be a bit steep, but it is an amazing experience with really good food and drinks, making it a place people definitely recommend.
