Based on the reviews, New Delhi Restaurant & Bar in San Francisco offers classic Indian cuisine with rich flavours and well-balanced dishes. The Kerelan Pepper Chicken is described as a unique dish, while the Chicken Tikka Masala has the perfect amount of spice, and the Hariyali Murg Tikka comes on a sizzling platter that tastes incredible. The Bombay Saffron Bhuna Lamb was fresh and very tasty, served with pulao and naan. However, the Murg Akbari was average, and the Keema Kulcha was disappointing, tasting more like a butter naan with hardly any keema filling. The Lucknow Pulao was good and well-prepared. The restaurant stays open late, which is convenient for tourists, and has excellent ambiance with tall pillars, exposed bricks, and tiled flooring. The service is good, and the chef-owner is charming. Some concerns were noted about the handling of a vegetarian request, as the complimentary naan contained eggs, though the chef replaced it with eggless chapati. Overall, the dining experience is pleasant, the atmosphere is great, and the staff and chef are nice.
