New Ming's Reviews
Passed inspection. No corrective measures recommended at this time.
Conveniently located for our staff. This local greasy chopstick serves satisfying orange overlord chicken that’s hard to trump. Vast improvement over the old Ming’s.
I have been to a lot of Chinese Restaurants & it is hard to find some good ones. This place is a somewhat a hole in the wall, but very very good. Im not just saying it. You won't be disappointed.
Reasonably priced places to eat or grab takeout are rare in FiDi, so when my friend couldn’t stop raving about this place, I had to give it a try.
I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and swapped the steamed rice for fried rice. It was fantastic. They even accommodated my request for some extra sauce on top. The chicken was tender, the sauce was packed with flavor, and the fried rice was delicious. Altogether, it reminded me of an Asian clay pot rice dish in the best way.

New Ming's is a local favorite that offers a range of dishes, from standard combo plates to unique options listed on their extensive menu. Their dishes are made fresh and are incredibly flavorful, with standouts like the Dan Dan Noodle Soup, wonton soups, and porridge. The restaurant also accommodates special requests, such as substituting tomatoes for onions in their Tomato Beef dish. Customers have praised the great service, great food, and great location, with the restaurant being conveniently located in the middle of downtown San Francisco. The Tofu with Shrimp + Chicken is a particularly popular dish, but every dish is reported to be very good. Overall, New Ming's is a great option for delicious Chinese food and is highly recommended by both locals and travelers alike.
