Honestly the best coffee in the area. The pastries are always fresh, the vibe is super chill, and the staff are always incredibly nice. Definitely my new go-to spot!
This place is becoming a disappointment. Waiting 20 minutes for a drink is unacceptable. Especially when it isn’t busy and the employees are standing around chatting. My last three orders have been wrong or missing something. First: a 2” empty space between a thick layer of foam and the top of the cup. Hardly anything to drink down at the bottom of a 16oz cup. Peet's Coffee on Van Ness Ave provides a quiet, safe, and relaxing atmosphere next to a bookstore and other restaurants. It is a wonderful spot, easily accessible and close to the civic center. The customers, mostly middle-aged and elderly, find it a pleasant place to enjoy coffee and read. The staff is super nice and attentive, with great attention to detail. The service is good and fast, with more than four people entering at any time. Although the workers may not always engage in friendly conversation, they provide quick and efficient service. The place is wheelchair accessible and offers vegetable, low-fat food options, sandwiches, and cold cuts to cater to dietary restrictions. While the coffee may not always be very hot, customers appreciate the correct orders and the perfect temperature of their drinks. Many enjoy the fun atmosphere, with some even mentioning dancing and singing while enjoying their coffee.
