You See Sushi is a small, family-run restaurant serving fresh and well-made sushi at a reasonable price. The lunch bento box, priced at $15, offers good portions, and the food is excellent and not expensive. The salmon sashimi is fresh, and the rice is cooked well, but the unagi can be overcooked. The tempura can be slightly over breaded. The staff is friendly without being imposing, and the lady working there is always very kind. Favorites include the 49'er Roll, Lady in Red, Caterpillar, and Miso Soup, which is served warm and hearty with cabbage. The fish quality is decent, and all the sushi rolls tried have been superb. It's a great option for take-out, as there’s no place to sit, but it remains a reliable choice for a satisfying sushi experience close to UCSF. The only downside is the strong moldy smell from the menus. Overall, You See Sushi is a well-kept secret for fresh and reasonably priced sushi.
