Los Portales Taco Shop #2 on State St serves delicious and authentic Mexican food. The chilli verde plate and carne asada burrito are highly recommended, and the Chicken Tacos on Tuesday are the best, priced right and full of chicken. The beef shredded tacos are a must-try, and the Carne Asada Fries are popular, although they could use a bit more Carne Asada. While the churros are a great value, they could use more sugar. The restaurant is always clean, from the entrance to the bathroom, and the staff is quick and respectful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The salsa bar is always full and complements the flavorful meat well. Prices for tacos are a bit high, but the food is definitely worth trying and the portions are big. Overall, Los Portales is a place where customers can expect great service and good food.
