“What a gem of a place. I know Africa has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine so I decided to explore Tanzanian food. The flavors are like symphony in my mouth. I had the chicken curry bowl and chicken sambusa and accompanied it with the hibiscus juice. I was in heaven. The lady behind the counter who was preparing my food was also charming and generous enough to have me try their coconut rice cake which is called Vitumbua. It was delicious. I live about 45 minutes away but will definitely return!“

“I got this delivered via Caviar so can’t speak to atmosphere (I think it’s a ghost kitchen maybe?) but the order was fast as heck and legit one of the best meals I’ve eaten in recent memory.A ton of food, generous portions, and just mind blowingly tasty. I got the pork bowl and every element was perfect. The meat was tender and so flavorful. Every combination of elements in the bowl creates a perfect bite.I can be kind of picky about food and this was a revelation, especially on a rainy winter night.I also ordered the bacon Brussels sprouts but I’m so full from the bowl I’ll save those for tomorrow. The world’s loudest YUM!!!!!“

“My first exposure to Nigerian food! The beef suya was really tender and the spice on it was heavenly. I think it's going to take me several visits to master eating egusi with fufu, but that was very tasty too. The Suup! -- soursop soda is delicious and refreshing. The employees here are really friendly and helpful, and it has a great relaxed atmosphere.“

“As a new comer to east bay, I have been exploring Ethiopian restaurants and Addis is by far the best. Good vibe, good food (the best shiro), awesome service. My only suggestion is that they need to come up ways to pack the stews, soecially shiro, in small container by itself when it is ordered for to go.“

“I went there on Saturday 19th Oct. The Jollof Rice and Plantains were good, but The meat that was Given for my Money was Horrible. The Goat And Beef was Hard and The Goat had that Goat Scent. Plus your Portion of Meat was not Desirable. I had to go home and make Stew Chicken to Eat with the Rice and Plantains.“

“We were looking for the Africa Restaurants yesterday. They both didn't make it through the pandemic. Upon one places, it's was church and selling vegan meatloaf plates. Small Bean pies for $5. Yall I am telling you. This is and was delicious and I can't tell I am not eating meat OMG! ? Africa church had no name on it. I surely will be returning and find out more information. My friend went back and got our plates. Happy Holidays to everyone and to stay safe & healthy.
Vegetarian options: This is a All Vegan Meatloaf plate.“

“So delicious! I go here almost every time I am in San Leandro, and sometimes go to San Leandro specifically to go here. I usually get the potato greens and a side of plantains. I am continually surprised by the depth of flavor developed in the vegetarian version of the greens.“
