“My partner and I had an amazing experience at Cajun Bowl in San Mateo! We came in on a very busy Friday night, so we expected a bit of a wait, but we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were seated.

We ordered Seafood Combo #1 with 1 lb of head-off shrimp, 2 lbs of clams (we substituted the crawfish for an extra pound of clams), and had it all tossed in the Super Ultimate Sauce with mild spice. The flavor was absolutely perfect. It had just the right amount of heat, and the sauce was so good. We also ordered a side of white rice, which paired perfectly with the seafood and sauce.

The service was outstanding. Our server was incredibly attentive and checked in on us throughout the meal to make sure we had everything we needed, even though the restaurant was packed.

Everything from the food to the customer service exceeded our expectations. My partner and I loved every part of our visit, and this has officially become our go-to spot for seafood. Highly recommend!“

“Don’t judge this place by the storefront. It looks like a typical Chinese restaurant from the outside, but they also serve Cajun seafood boils.

We went for lunch and ordered a combo with 1 lb shrimp, 1.5 lb clams, and 2 lobster tails with the “mix them all” sauce. The portion was generous. Since it was just the two of us, we couldn’t finish everything and had to pack the leftovers.

The seafood tasted fresh and well cooked. The shrimp and lobster weren’t mushy, and the clams were good and fresh. The sauce was garlicky and flavorful and coated everything nicely.

Overall it was a pleasant surprise. It’s a simple, casual spot but a good option if you’re in the mood for a Cajun-style seafood boil without the usual long wait or high price.“

“The food was always refilled. The food was fresh, however some pieces of the food taste more saltier than the other pieces of the same dish. Food trays area are clean. Our dirty dishes were always cleared from our table. Overall it was a great experience this time around.“

“everything was really good and the atmosphere was very elegant but the only thing is we ordered the snow crab and lobster tails with the mild sauce but that didn't matter because it was still a bit spicy and to be honest we like a little space to our food but if you don't like spicy food then don't order the butter souce“
