While it may not surpass the flavor profile of Indonesian coffee, Phillz Coffee is genuinely committed to serving the highest quality coffee. The atmosphere and service are excellent.

Philz Coffee at Hillsdale Mall offers a mixed experience. While some customers have found their coffee inconsistent and sometimes watered down, others have praised the warm and friendly service from the staff. The cozy atmosphere with 2010s hip-hop playing adds to the casual meetup spot vibe, with delicious pastries to enjoy.
Customers love the signature drinks, especially the Iced Gingersnap coffee, which can be made sweet and creamy. The staff is always friendly and helpful, though some customers note they come out smelling like coffee after their visit.
The coffee is described as yummy, with a beautiful, homegrown neighborhood feel. Customers appreciate the efficient order processing and the fact that drinks are made to order. The Ecstatic dark roast, featuring flavors of butterscotch, dark chocolate, and citrus, is a popular choice, often paired with a salted chocolate chip cookie.
The outdoor seating is a charm, and the space is huge with lots of outlets and cozy corners, making it a perfect spot for remote work, catching up with friends, or a peaceful coffee break. The baristas are attentive and ensure consistent and expected taste in the drinks.
