“Came across this spot on DoorDash and was not dissapointed. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and truffle fries and a side of loaded mac n cheese. First of all let me say the portions are HUGE! Secondly, everything was packed with FLAVOR. Definitely will be paying this spot a visit in person.“
“The hardest thing about Burdell is that you can't eat everything in one sitting but you really want to. Tonight was our first time dining here, and we are already looking forward to going back. My husband and I started with cocktails and they were absolutely delicious. Then we had the chicken liver and waffles and we all but licked the plate. For dinner I had the fried petrale sole and my husband had the pork neck. We also couldn't resist getting the whipped potatoes, which were everything you want potatoes to be. We both loved our entrees and stole bites from each other. Very flavorful, very lovely presentation, and nice portions. For dessert we shared the chocolate puddin and it was also excellent. We were well taken care of by all of the staff and got some lovely drink recommendations that paired well with each course. We really enjoyed this dining experience and look forward to returning. We would like to do the family dinner with beverage pairing next. Love this place!“
“Great place for deep dish pizza! Or pie? It's filling! I like it all but it does get busy and noisy when ppl have to wait for 30-50 mins for pizza, they tend to talk with their hangry voices. So you are aware it's not a zen place. But it's great food and service.“
“I came across a reel on Instagram and today when we visited the Hall of Science I had to go to Southside Station. They have some of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken was crispy, big and tasty, the slaw was perfectly tangy and and the sauce hit the spot. Perfectly balanced flavors in a big delicious sandwich. In addition, we tried the garlic noodles and the curly fries whichwere really good. Portions are good. I recommend this hidden gem. I'm definitely going back for the sandwich and will try the other items on the menu.“
“I’m a big fan of low key spaces that dial it in. Chef Chew as well known as he is, is highly underrated. What he does with tofu is humbly masterful. While other places will rely on fake meats,he transforms a slab of tofu into a layers and pockets of flavor that get turned into one of the best vegan fried chickuns in the area and a vegan philly protein that is natural gluten free bc it’s basically just tofu and spices. The collards melt in your mouth but somehow don’t taste overcooked. And I think he changed his cheese sauce slightly bc it tastes even better since his reopening. Offering a vegan fried chickun and steak that isn’t made of processed ingredients is a subtle triumph that I don’t feel gets enough recognition. Vegan soul food done right. Much respect.“
“Went for the first time and it was really good. We had the opportunity to speak with the owner Kecia who is wonderful. Our waitress (she was so busy I didn’t get her name but she took care of us) was great. Thank y’all for everything.Tried the fried oysters, prawns and fish and it was really good. Also had the yams, greens, Mac and cheese and had the Hennessy cake for dessert. Everything was great, I will definitely be coming back every time I’m in the area.“
“This mac and cheese is perfect- PERFECT. When I'm not in the area, I cry. I got the cookbook for Christmas a couple of years ago and that can tide me over but of course, I'd rather it come from the OG. My absolute favorites are the pesto mac or pizza mac - both of which will rotate on and off the menu. A crunchy top is a necessity. I prefer the breadcrumbs but they have other options like hot Cheetos or chips too. Thank you for existing, Homeroom. ILY.“
“Pizza was amazing. I've had chicago style pizza before and this is similar. The crust was a great crunch and toppings were fresh. The best part was the sauce, just order ahead because the pizza takes 15-30min to make just depends on what you order. Also if you get the deep dish one slice is equally the same as 2 regular slices.“
“Very good pizza, much better than the big chains. They have a nice thick crust, even on their "thin" pizzas. It is probably about twice as thick as a typical pizza and very filling. Their thick pizza has almost an inch of tomato base, using a fork and knife is recommended. On the lighter side the spring and arugula salads are also delicious. The one down side is it takes around half an hour for the thin pizzas and 40 minutes for the thick ones.“
“A couple of the bands I'm in played here (Sakful and Chino's burning). The Pa system is awesome. The engineer (Paul Shortridge) is very knowledgeable and has the house tone dialed in for any band expressing their style on stage.I was so impressed by the place I started going to the open mic nights on Mondays. And to top it off, the food is freaking awesome! This place is a must if you like good original music, great good and a super friendly atmosphere.“
“We had lunch here. Cute place where you order at the counter and then have food brought to your table. We had two kids hamburgers well done that were beyond charbroiled. The kids literally didn't each any of it. The fries and french toast plate were good.“
“Our dining experience at Bangkok Garden last evening was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted by the warm smiles of the staff. They promptly escorted us to our table, where our orders were taken and served with remarkable efficiency. Accompanied by our two young children, who were exceptionally well-catered to, we indulged in a variety of dishes. The grilled chicken satay and the fresh spring rolls were the stars of the evening. It's certain that we will be returning for another memorable meal. Bangkok Garden comes highly recommended!“
“Great food selection in a definitely hip Korean restaurant with a cool decor with tin walls and little street feel with tables in little private booths. Parking is a little dicey on this side of Telegraph but it is Oakland. I would say food is definitely on the pricey side like your typical Korean joint but the portions are great. Soups are really good and they don't skimp on ingredients. We had a rice cake soup as well as Kim chi pancake and bulgogi. Mandoo is was good too. The Korean side dishes were fresh. But definitely cost was up. Still I recommend going to go drinking and a good time. Chicken was decent but I wouldn't say the best Korean fried chicken I've had. Probably needs a little more sizzle to the seasoning. We got the sweet and spicy but next time will try the garlic soyParking: Don't leave belongings visible as it's an open street but should be okay.“
“If you are in the mood for Mac and cheese, this is where it's at! First timer here, the hubby and I ordered the crab Mac, they went heavy on the crab which we loved! The crunchy crumbles on the top made it savory for each bite! Super friendly and welcoming soon as we entered in, it was kid friendly with a sheik spin to it. Good vibes.“
“Delicious food and would recommend their waffles! Their smoothies/drinks are great but I had to take off a star because it was vett try hard to communicate with the barista who did not seem to know English very well, but she was still very kind.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and it is easy to aces with a small ramp“
“Marc and team catered our wedding at the Brazilian Room, and we were extremely happy with both the planning process and the food/support on the day itself. The Arlington team are clearly pros at working in the Brazilian room - and had everything set up quickly and efficiently day-of - even though we had a shorter evening slot. The food was very good (especially the grilled salmon and pesto pasta) - everyone went back for seconds and we got many compliments! Marc was transparent and easy to work with throughout, and we thought pricing was reasonable compared to other vendors we looked at. Would highly recommend!!“
“This place has great prices and great food. Their bacon is nice and thick which makes for an awesome BLT or nice side to a waffle. I've tried the waffle, cheese steak, burgers, pancakes and haven't had a bad thing yet. In fact I've gone for breakfast and then left with a burger after that for lunch later on. Good stuff.“
“This place really delivered on the lamb Gyro. I brought my wife here soo she could try the lamb Gyro and she was impressed. This place has to be my favorite place in the East Bay to get a Gyro. The prices have gone up since I first heard of them but still hasn’t everything. Still, it’s a heck of a bargain and your taste buds won’t be disappointed. my tummy is always happy after I eat my lamb Gyro. Thx“
“Prices have gone up a bit, however the quality is still great. Staff is friendly, service is quick even when busy. My recommendation would be the white cheddar mac with bacon added, their regular bacon mac option on the menu doesn't use the same white cheddar sauce and isn't as good as getting the bacon as an add-on.Parking: There's only 2 spaces, out back, and 2 spaces on the street in front. The neighborhood is cordoned off to avoid people parking there. May need to park a few blocks up the street.“
“I made sure I went twice before I reviewed this place so the first time I went it was happy hour time which was half off appetizers and some low priced drinks the peach a Rita was delicious ? Brussel sprouts were well seasoned and delicious !!! BEST GARLIC NOODLES IN THE BAY AREA ? I also got the fish and fries yummy!!jalapeño popper (which were below mediocre at best). Now to the main dish was the T Rex turkey leg with rasta pasta.... I really wanted to love this dish and don't get me wrong it was visually appealing and individually each component was well seasoned and boasted lots of flavor However with that said there can be to much of a good thing. Combined it was overwhelming the gigantic smoked turkey leg and huge portion of pasta there was much to take home I ended up cutting the meat off the smoked turkey leg and made greens with it the next day which were delicious!!!“
“This is a great place for weekend breakfast or brunch. Friendly staff, family run, big tables, good selection, right-sized portions. Park right in front.l if you get there early enough. Eggs Benedict is really good. The best place for breakfast in Berkeley.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly“
“The smothered chicken was cooked to perfection, with tender and juicy meat that practically melted in my mouth. The rich and savory gravy that accompanied it added an extra layer of depth and made each bite even more satisfying. The dressing was delicious. It had the perfect balance of flavors, with a hint of herbs and spices that complemented the chicken and gravy perfectly. And let's not forget about the collard greens. They were cooked just right. The seasoning was spot-on, enhancing the natural flavors of the greens without overpowering them. Overall, this meal was a true culinary delight. The combination of smothered chicken, dressing with gravy, and collard greens created a harmonious symphony of flavors that left me craving for more. I could've used a little less gravy but still very satisfying. If you're looking for a filling and comforting meal, I highly recommend giving this dish a try. You won't be disappointed!“
“These guys are great! With so many "great pizza!" reviews I was almost sceptical. But it's good! I get the thick crust cause I like soft crust. Its not overly thick. Just perfect soft and chewy.i will definately back to them..“
