“Amazing ox tail udon. Very tender. I added a poached egg to it. Broth clean and not salty. We also had chicken karaage and fried whole squid, which was also tender and flavorful. If you are into udon, this is the place to get something that is different from the others. This place gets busy so it's a good idea to get there at opening.“

“Fabulous broth in these dishes! Delightful, we stopped after seeing the evening cherry blossoms at Hakone Garden; perfect cap to the evening. ???Dietary restrictions: I eat GF and had always thought of ramen places as being about the wheat noodles? No, no: it's all about the rich broths, and you can find rice plates or order with no noodles. I went for an appetizer seafood soup with a side of rice and side of kim chi and that made a perfect meal.“

“My first time coming here. They offer great variety off their menu. They also have lunch specials on their insta or FB page. I opt for lunch special, bento box. Cost is fair $24 out the door. Plentiful of food for 1 person. I wasn't able to finish all of it. The miso soup has lots of umami flavor and not just boring blah miso I've had in many Japanese restaurant. The bento box I ordered were all great tasting. My favorite that stood out was the potato croquette. It was done perfect! None of the food was bad at all. I would come back again and try other dishes.“

“You can easily book a table online or just give the restaurant a call. Our group of four made a seamless entrance on time thanks to the reservation. They've got a diverse menu with nearly everything covered. The'Unagi Omelette 鰻魚玉子燒,' 'Yamaimo Sengiri 山藥紫蘇', and the 'Mentaiko Pasta 明太子麵' are my favorite. The beef tongue and clam soup were also delicious. If you're into Japanese food with a local casual dining feel, this place comes highly recommended! Plus, they have private booths for a more intimate family or friend gathering.“

“Very happy to have discovered this spot so close to home. They have a 7-10 pm happy hour with draft suntory beer and small bites menu every weekend, so prices are quite reasonable. The standouts: The beef tongue was one of the best i've had, tender, flavourful, and you get a good amount for the price. (5/5) The grilled mochi - my gf said she would come back just for this, its a must try. (5/5) The soba panna cotta - an amazing dessert, not too sweet, great nutty notes, fun jiggly texture. (5/5) The not so good: Takowasa had some pieces that were offputtingly mushy, and was rather small - (2/5) Chicken skin was flavourless and overdone, but at least cheap. (2/5)“

“Got the fancy tatami room and the food was delicious. I actually had more fish than rice. So the fish to rice ratio was great! I got the mini chirashi bowl for $19, added uni for 7.50They have a large variety of food items on their menu and I think I may return to try more!“

“We went in for a late lunch on Saturday. We weren't sure if this was more of a drinking place or restaurant.I had the chicken bowl and my wife had the chicken plate. We are split on our opinions of this place. I liked the food, but she felt it was too "fusion" and not authentic. The one thing we did agree upon was about the fact there's no paper menu. You have to order with your smartphone aged scanning a QR code. We love tech, but this was poorly implemented. It gets confused if two people look at the menu simultaneously on their own phones. Somehow, it lost our order and we had to wait much longer to get our food. Service was generally slow. But the prices were very reasonable for the quantity of food. The atmosphere is young and trendy. Walls are covered in kpop idols, giving it a gen-z vibe. We felt a little out of place.“
