“Finally found the Mexican food I needed out here in SCV. Food was delicious. We had birria tacos and carnitas tacos and a carne bean and cheese burrito. Decent portions. Great prices. SALSA was AMAZING. OMAR the owner was very nice and accommodating and this place deserves way more stars!!! Go here. It's delicious. It's a little bit hard to find but when you do, you will be so happy.“
“Accidentally stumbled upon this spot I was in the area and looked up pupusas nearby and it led me here wow these are absolutely delicious the best pupusas I've ever had. Suport this business the pupusas are super thick and well proportioned and the cheapest around. GO NOW!“
“This has to be the best pupusas I've ever had in my Life. It has to be because of the care the mom/cook of the business takes on your order. I got the bean and cheese with loroco pupusa; absolutely delicious. The corn meal masa was perfect texture meaning she mixes it well. The refried beans were also made with lard and tasty and not too salty. Definitely ordering this pupusa again. The daughter let me order a pupusa without cheese (since all the pupusa options come with cheese), and I appreciated that. I got pure shredded beef in the pupusa and the seasoning of the meat was perfect. Definitely paired well with the masa. This is right next to my work so I'm definitely coming back when I'm in the mood for authentic and heartwarming pupusas at this family run small business!!!“
“Got pupusas, caldo de pata, platanos, pasteles, desayunos, and quesadillas for the whole family and every one loved every dish. We will definitely be back. If you do have a large order, just order ahead of time and have patience with the lovely people that work here.“
“We made this day a family event in this place and chef Ligia, since I contacted her, was very friendly, very cordial and willing to help with what I needed. I am very grateful, all my family who arrived were satisfied with the food, the service and the atmosphere of the place. Super recommended if you want to eat something freshly made, good flavor, good price and quality.“
“Mexican pizza never disappoints, also tried the Birria Pupusa it was soo good the birria was juicy and tender great flavor and really big too. Been coming to this place for about 15 years and I will continue.Parking: It's in a plaza and shares parking with other businesses, it's kind of hard to get parking in the day but at night there's always parking as most businesses are closed.“
“Pupusas are thick and tasty. I recommend Chicharron. However all others are good too. Make sure to bring cash only. Wait is a little long but worth it. To save time I place my order over the phone. No Parking at all, but you may wait at gas “
“It was our first time visiting this restaurant ?and we really loved it...we found everything very authentic. On this occasion we tasted some delicious bean pupusas with cheese and also cheese with loroco...and of course accompanied by a refreshing colashampan...highly recommended I would return again ???“
“I don't know why I haven't left a review for this place... Been coming here for years... I love this place. Though I'm certainly not an expert on Salvie food, I really enjoy the pupusas here. They run a special in the week which certain pupusas are over dollar. I find the customer service always friendly despite my Spanish speaking skills to be lacking... (Shout out to Google translate!)“
“Don Carlitos is a small, but very valuable place. The food here is amazing, and along with providing the usual Mexican cuisine which can be found almost everywhere in San Fernando, they have very well made Salvadoran food. The pupusas are perfect and they have a good variety to choose from. The sopa de gallina is amazing and authentic and so is the yuca frita which is perfectly crispy on the outside and fresh on the inside. Service is the usual for small local places. It can be a bit slow if there's a crowd, but the food is made with love and is always worth any wait.“
“Now this place here is amazing I love it I try to go every day now I haven't tried everything but will my favorite platanos con frijol y crema "delicioso" the waitress was respectful and very professional plus she was beautiful. I didn't get her name I will next time the spot itself is nice bar is a place you can watch sports and have a few drinks (responsible of course) til next time my friends“
“I can't believe I hadn't tried this place in the 10 years we have lived near it. It is delicious, the pupusas were VERY GOOD and authentic. They had a lot of "filling", other restaurants just have a bunch of masa and not enough filling. The revueltas were my favorite! The flavor was perfect and they were cheesy goodness. The curtido and slasita de tomate had a nice kick and the authentic taste was perfect. We also had the atole de elote, tasted delicious, and had actual elote in it. Soooo good!!! Lastly the empanadas de leche were the perfect finish to our meal. The owner Carlos and his daughter we nice and welcoming, he shared some insights about the menu and how everything is made fresh in house. FINALLY what sold me- as soon as I walked in, THIS PLACE IS CLEAN!! The floor was spotless, the dining area was clean, tables and chairs were spotless and the kitchen looked pretty spotless. The this place, you won't be disappointed if you want authentic Salvadoran food. I wish I would have tried it sooner, it's a hidden GEM.“
“Let me start by saying super friendly and wonderful service. The pupusas were very tasty and fairly priced. I also ordered the yuca and chicharones. I will say excellent, however they need to use real chicharon not masa’s de carne. Or both combined. Overall they get two thumbs up for effort and wonderful service. Definitely try this spot out in Canyon County, a place lacking culinary variety.“
