I had beef tacos with rice and beans. The tacos were excellent but the rice and beans were pretty average. My husband had the jumbo quesadilla, which was actually a burrito with steak, lettuce, beans, and cheese. Service was excellent.
This was the second stop on our impromptu taco tour through Santa Cruz. Tacos were delicious and the meats were nicely seasoned on each respective taco. We had asada, Al pastor, carnitas and chicken. Their salsa bar was okay. Love the pickled carrots and jalapenos, but the salsas needed more flavor. The fresh tortilla chips were warm and perfectly salted. LOVE Freshly grilled fish Huge portions. One taco would've been enough for me. Quick walk from Whalers car wash. LIKE Fish and shrimp tacos were decent. Salsa bar and freshly made chips. MEH Not particularly flavorful. I'll try the meat next time.
