“If I could rate 100 stars I would. If I could even file a personal tax form with this place I would. I am so addicted to the acai and the eervicd this place provides. Friendly staff and the best acai in LA county. Unlimited toppings unlike some locations (Ktown ):) and it’s close to the beach so you could vibe and eat acai by the beach.“

“If you can’t pull Oaxaca but are savoring to sample the cuisine, Comedor Tenchita makes a great alternative without the airfare. It is nestled in the backyard of a home in West Adams. I believe it is only open on Sundays. Once seated you can easily imagine being in Mexico. The service is great, our server came to our table carrying a smile and took our order for drinks and appetizers shortly after we were seated. We opted for their Chile Relleno, empanadas and menudo. All very good and authentic. For drinks, mechelada, modelo and cafe de olla. Mechelada was on point and the beer was served cold. For our main course we went with the tlayuda, carne asada and cabra (goat). The tlayuda was crispy and the toppings generous, one of the best I’ve had in LA. The goat was tender and came in a delicious broth, I used the homemade tortillas to make tacos. The server checked in frequently and even gave us each a complimentary shot of their house mezcal. He briefed us on the fermentation and distillation process as we sipped the golden nectar down. A musician arrived mid meal and performed lively Mexican folk music; looking around throughout the meal I got a sense that I was attending a Mexican wedding. Lively atmosphere. For a change of latitude and for some very good and authentic Oaxacan cuisine, I would highly recommend a visit to Comedor Tenchita“

“Very good empanadas!
I always call 30 min prior and order 1 dozen of beef empanadas. I live in Bellflower CA. so when I come to my doctor’s appt this place is only 10 min away from the office. I take advantage and order 1 dz since I don’t have a nonnas near my home. I spend close to $70 for 1 dz beef empanadas. They only offer 6 chimichurri sauce with my order, either spicy or non spicy. Service I rate a 3 because the few times that I faithfully visit here, the person who I pay when I walk in either a young lady, or a woman with a heavy accent or a tall gentleman can really use a smile once in a while to make the atmosphere more welcome and humble.“

“Great empanada flavors, and the lady at the window taking orders is so nice. The restaurant is strictly to go, but there is a bench under a nice tree that you can sit on while waiting for your order. Oh, the onion rings and garlic fries are definitely something to try!“

“This is supposed to be members only and an exclusive place for people that live in the neighborhood. Clearly this is not the case. Went on Friday night and there was a lovely guitar player and it was an enjoyable safe crowd. Last night it was overly packed and a very strange crowd. Almost as if all the drug dealers and losers came up from the Bronx to hang out. Definitely did not feel safe and clearly majority of the folks were NOT members. The Members that we were with had been members for 20+ years and agreed they had never seen such a disturbing rough crowd. Hopefully this was just a one off and 900 club becomes a little more strict about who they let in and who they don’t. I live walking distance and it is disturbing that this place is attracting such ghetto people in my neighborhood. Clean it up and respect our community!“

“Really good empanadas, only thing was their fryer was down but still left really happy. They have one table so it's more of a to go food place. Will be back for their combos as they are great deals. We got the cheese empanada, spinach and cheese, guava tart, and potato meat item. All were really good but we decided that the spinach and cheese was the best“

“Got the 3 empanada combo looking for a snack not a full meal.
Ranking:
1) mushroom. Had the cheese pull of the day, flavorful, incredible.
2) Mac n cheese. Need I say more? Good Mac in a buttery empanada.
3) samosa. Slightly dry, but good flavor and with the dip the flavors really melded together perfectly.“

“Hi I love this cafe - the food is healthy, tasty and wide-ranging in cuisines, and the people, Mimi and Justin, make it feel like another home. Mimi is a warm, consummate professional who can handle anything, events-wise, and the space is versatile for any kind of casual and convivial gathering. This place is one of my favorite “third spaces” for working when I need a change of environment from the home office (there are tables that overlook the pool), painting (I’m a huge fan of the paint and sip classes) or just hanging out. Neighbors can consider it a great resource for meals and snacks off the beach (and anytime), entertaining for occasions and even just to grab a bottle of wine or party-food supplies for friends who drop by. Highly recommend“
