the sushi quality was impeccable! we started with miso soup, edamame and crispy rice. the miso soup was 10/10, it had everything you’d want in a miso soup. the crispy rice was slightly overdone and hard to bite into but i dipped it into my miso soup and it was delicious. i got the tuna maki, the salmon and albacore nigiri which were super buttery. i’ll definitely stop by next time.
Went over the weekend -- it was so good! Stopped in during the lull between lunch and dinner, had the whole place almost to ourselves. Small space, and just right. I admit when I looked at the menu online, some of the fusion rolls made me worry it would be too gimmicky -- but I was so pleased to find that their standard rolls were excellent, and the couple fusion items we decided to try did not disappoint. The food was delicious. We ordered the grilled Hamachi, tempura udon, and the highway 3 roll. The udon had a good amount of tempura and even 2 pieces of shrimp. I like how the tempura was served separately and not soaking in the udon. The grilled hamachi was plentiful (more like an entree than an appetizer) and delicious. And the service was excellent-- there were quite a few people in the restaurant that evening and the waitress did a good job of juggling all the tables.
