“Had lunch here yesterday. Cute place and pretty popular with the locals, and I’ve been here a number of times but usually for dinner. This is also one of the few restaurants in the area that stays open on holidays, which is always a plus. They serve the same menu for both lunch and dinner. We came in around 1 PM and it wasn’t too crowded. I wasn’t super hungry, so I just went with their Thai Iced Tea and Papaya Salad. My friends ordered the Pad See Ew, Fresh Spring Rolls, and Khao Soi. Everything came out great as expected. Super flavorful with generous portions. We ended up boxing most of it. Service was fast and easy, as always.“

“First time at Chiang Rai – Thai Street Food.

Plenty of street parking. Smaller location and is packed. Even though it was called street food – it was so much more than that. The food quality was top tier. Well balanced and delicious.

Roti – flaky, crispy with a layer of chewiness. Paired with a yellow curry sauce. So good.

Crying Tiger – it was cooked medium rare and came with a homemade chili sauce.

We had to get the Khao Soi. Northern Thai curry noodles served with wet noodles and crispy fried noodles. We got ours with chicken. Everything was good with the dish except for the dried chicken.

Steamed Branzino – served whole. Very good. You can taste the delicate flavors.

We finished it off with the old school Pang Pang comprised of coconut ice cream on top of a sweet bread (think King Hawaiian) with condensed milk then cashew and coconut jelly on top.

“It is the best Thai street food in Town. The best Sevice, Friendly Stuff and best Chef. I ordered Crab fried rice, Ku Moo Yang, and crispy belly Kra pow, Banana Grandma, Meatloaf salad. And Mango sticky Rice. They were good like the name of the restaurant! Say Yum! I recommend!!“

“I came to this plaza today because I had to take a class over the weekend here and I'm happy I was stumbled upon this pretty sweet Thai spot. The atmosphere was chill and the service was pretty friendly. I got the khao soi chicken and it was quite tasty, tender chicken, thick noodles and crispy noodles, what's not to love. I was almost tempted to order some rice to soak up more of that awesome gravy. If I was in the area I would come back again.“

“First time going here. I got the Beef Drunken Noodle and the Seafood Tom Yum Soup. When I tell you both dishes had so much flavor and they give you big portions. The food was absolutely delicious and amazing. The waiters were very kind and very attentive. The place was decorated in Halloween decorations, so cute. I loved everything about this place. “Went in during the midday so it was empty. Got the place to ourselves. Authentic Thai food with great flavor and good portions. Ordered mild for the papaya salad and that was spicy enough. Very friendly staff & chill atmosphere. Got 3 plates of food, 1 appetizer, some Jasmine tea, with 2 of their tea drinks just under $90. Took leftovers home that I can't wait to eat at a later time. “One of my local favs for thai food. Fast friendly service, loved the new sauce containers. Got my go to pineapple fried rice, perfect flavoring and good portion sizing/pricing. Tried the green beans with tofu for the first time and wasn't disappointed. We even had enough for a to-go box. Gave 4* for service and atmosphere because they had this coconut chiffon cake on display but then said it was not available until maybe 2 weeks later! 😞 Also it was a bit chilly inside.🥶

“The food was delicious! My friend recommended it and we decided to eat there for lunch. Our refreshments were served in a cute mason jar. We shared chicken egg rolls for an appetizer. My friend ordered tom yum soup with shrimp and I got Thai Boat Noodle. I am definitely going to eat there again and bring my family.“

First off, the service here is excellent!

Second, the food is great as well and very reasonably priced. We ended up ordering pad se ew with chicken ($10.99), green curry with chicken ($11.99), and panang Curry with chicken ($11.99), and Mango Sticky rice (was complimentary but usually $8.99) because my 2 y/o wouldn't stop crying. It was like magic for us. Not so much for him because he not used to those flavors yet lol. Only downside I thought about the food was the pad se ew needed just a touch more stir fry sauce,but other than that everything else was great!

The place inside is cozy. I feel like it seats about 30 people max and there are 2 booths, so if you have a stroller like we did, it gets tight. Not too sure how a Wheelchair would fit, but I'm sure the staff would be very willing to accommodate. As far parking, it's limited in a street corner 4 Plex, but come at the right time and you're good.

Overall, I definitely recommend this place if you're in the area.“

“Have been picking up takeout from this neighborhood staple for 26 years and I know people who have been eating here since 1990. D Thai Chinese is apparently a one-woman operation; the owner takes orders, cooks, serves etc. all by herself, and she is so sweet and friendly.
I can only respect how D Thai's prices remain lower than other Thai/Chinese places in the area, although the prices have been raised in the last year or so (two dollars up per lunch and dinner special). The quality of the food however has remained reliably good, fresh cooked to order, and flavorful. I don't know enough about Chinese or Thai cooking to comment on how authentic it is, but it's pretty good in my opinion and that's what matters most to me.
I've tried most of the menu over the years and the standouts to me are the fried rice, thai basil chicken, mongolian beef, beef salads, and pad see ew. The majority of the menu is four stars, but those are the five star items in my experience.
Be advised, cash only and takeout only! For what it is -- a takeout Asian hole-in-the-wall restaurant -- D Thai is a respectable local treat that I will allow myself pretty regularly within my budget. Since the owner lady is so likeable and impressive, and the food is plentiful and decent quality for your dollar, I have to rate this place five stars overall.

“Eaten at Chaba twice and it’s been a very good experience. The curry and rice is very tasty when mixed together and good quality. I highly recommend mild spicy as even the medium is pretty hot. The Fried Wontons were pretty good as well as the Thai Cold Coffee. The Customer service is excellent. You definitely get bang for the buck when it comes to lunch price. If I had one recommendation for improvement is the restaurants is a little dated and could use an upgrade inside.“

While I haven't had the opportunity to dine in (yet), l've been able to order for pickup on several occasions.

Every time I call in, I get a friendly voice on the other side of the phone. They take my order, give me an estimated time for pick up and I'm there.

Their time estimates are on point as my order's usually ready by the time l arrive but on the very few times it's not; it's usually ready in no more than a couple of minutes.

Everything I've had is tasty but typically I alternate between the Pad Thai and the Pad See Ew depending on my mood. Sometimes I’m feeling a little wild and I get both. Thai food makes for some of the best leftovers so no regrets. Everything is cooked to perfection and as expected with Thai food, very flavorful.

They even have desert if you have a sweet tooth, it's hard to go wrong with their mango sticky rice... that is unless you don't like mango, rice or sticky things.

The staff is friendly, the prices and portions are great and best of all, the food is delicious!
If you're in the area and are looking for some good Thai food, Happy Thai is an excellent choice.“

“Phi Thai Eatery is surprisingly good. We had the green curry, tom yum soup, pad thai, pad see ew, and veggie spring rolls, all of which they were able to make vegan and all of which were delicious. “I have been going to Thai Pepper for decades now. There food is always just spot on and the lunch special of $9.95 is a great deal. You get an entree in which I always get The Mint Leaves Chicken, fried rice, two fried wontons and a salad. My only suggestion would be to put the salad in a separate little box so it does not get hot next to the hot food. Other than that the food is excellent and great prices. You can get it mild to very hot on the spice! I stick with mild and my friend always gets the level 10 hot, hot, 🔥🥵 HOT. I would die, but different strokes for different folks.👍🤤🎉“

“Not to be mistaken for Original Thai BBQ, this is Original Thai on Artesia Blvd. This is one of the Thai restaurants that serve Thai Boat Noodle Soup. My party arrived, we're promptly seated and had ordered. Within 10 minutes, all of our food arrived freshly made to order and made delicious. Try the Crab Noodle and the Spicy Crispy Pork, you won't be disappointed. They use real crab in their crab dishes. Also, be weary of the spice levels.“
