“I've been going to Sweetee Thai since it opened years ago and I stopped in for lunch today. There's a sign on the door separating them from Sweetee Thai in Cerritos. Long story short both restaurants have new owners. Susie has retired now and I wasn't sure if I was going to be satisfied but truth be told the quality of all four dishes rated 5 stars in my book. Thats unprecedented. In fact it's much higher than my rating at Sweetee Thai over the last several years. (This is a personal quest for the best Thai food in the LB, North Orange County Area, not anything I've previously shared.)
First, we had the Beef Satay appetizer. The portion was generously sized, with an excellent cut of meat and you could taste the flame grilling. It was perfect, the peanut sauce might need a smidgen of vinegar to balance the sweet but nothing that most people would notice and maybe they prefer it on the sweeter side. It's my preference to have a little tang to my peanut sauce.) Second, we shared two main entrees, the Jade Curry with tofu over white rice, (The *spicy version was still mild enough for me to add more hot dried chili twice.) It was seasoned exactly right, with full bodied flavor without being just spicy or hot. It had exactly the right feel in your mouth. Thirdly, we shared the Nam Tok, (A sliced, warm, grilled beef in a lime based dressing with cabbage on a bed of romaine lettuce.) The lime dressing acts to slightly steam the cabbage (Think of how ceviche works.) and the lettuce, yet still leaving both crispy. I used the lettuce and created a wrap, with the steak, cabbage and lime dressing, and although the dish comes with rice it's not necessary in my estimation.
Fourth, we had Mango with sticky rice for dessert. They didn’t disappoint here either. The mangos were just the perfect ripeness and it's only available in season. (Points for waiting for the mangos to ripen. It's getting common to be served underripe mango, even at Whole Foods and Sprouts, places where farm fresh produce is served cut up.) Thai food has been my absolute favorite food since 1977, THIS WAS THE BEST Thai meal I've had in years. I'm always trying new Thai places to match the highest quality I've had in the past. If they can maintain this level of culinary delight I'll be trying every item on the menu. I think the root of this excellent flavor of the beef and the curry comes from the dried red chili's that they use, the spices were fresh and a smoky spicy without relying on heat only for the flavor profile. Please, please keep it up! The OC Register needs to send out their food critics because I was blown away and I think they will be too.“

“Having heard of its excellent reputation, I visited this restaurant for lunch. Although they offer a wide variety of menu options, I decided to try the recommended dish; Khao Soi with Chicken (curry noodle soup), and it was far more delicious than I had imagined.
The prices are also reasonable, making it highly recommendable. Despite the restaurant being crowded, their staffs were super friendly. It is definitely a place I would like to visit again!!“

“Best Thai food, Very good service, and clean dining place“
“Tried this place for their lunch special the other day with a friend and we were blown away at how good it was. Standard dishes like Pad See Ew and Pad Thai were next level compared to other Thai places in taste and freshness. So if the easy dishes are that good - rest of the food must be incredible. Will definitely be coming here frequently!“

“I shall Thai my best, to find something good for lunch
Occupying the former location of Hanako, we've dined at the second previous tenant of this address, prior to Hanako. I've been meaning to come by Pudtarn Thai Cuisine because I'm a huge fan of Thai food, and Lunch Specials are an affordable option. This day seemed just the moment to try another local Thai restaurant for takeout.
Lunch Special Pad Thai-
Choice of protein (beef + $1, shrimp + $2), with rice, salad & egg roll. Oh, how have I missed pad Thai. Pudtarn's version hit the spot for my Thai food fix. Had the perfect amount of sour to sweet. Portions were generous, too.
Chicken satay-
Five tender, succulent sticks of chicken, served with creamy peanut sauce. Great accompaniment to the noodles, the pieces of chicken were delicious, especially when smothered in the sauce.
Service was good. A good amount of seating inside, the wait for takeout wasn't too long, since I was the first customer of the day. Parking can be somewhat difficult to come by, as some spaces are designated for the business in front of them. Hard to find on it's own, Pudtarn Thai Cuisine is located west of the car wash on the corner of Bloomfield & Centralia.
Pudtarn Thai Cuisine is a solid Thai eatery, and I'm definitely looking forward to visiting, again, in the near future. Their lunch specials are affordable, and provide an ample amount of food. Pudtarn Thai Cuisine has earned their spot in my food rotation list.“

“My Yellow Curry with shrimp was delicious! All the food I ordered was scrumptious and flavorful! The food came out hot, which I loved. Their service is good, and I will be returning. Thai Belly is located inside a food hall, where you can sit inside or outside. I like sitting outside to enjoy the view.“

“A nice Thai restaurant that offers musical entertainment over the weekends and karaoke.
Food is always good here but service sometimes can be lacking a bit if they get very busy. We got basil chicken and green curry here and both were very good. However , they missed the mark with their dessert serving - Mango with Sticky rice. The mangoes were sour and that completely derailed the dessert.
Overall - a good little Thai restaurant that does the job !“

“They have good food and drinks, I miss the free Thai tea promotion, I don't usually order drinks because we spend over
100 dollars for our family of 4 to eat there . It's a small place so we always get it to go. My favorite is the Crab fried rice, ask for no onions, they sometimes put too many which ruins the flavor for me !“

“My Wife & I tried this whole in the wall and were amazed by the amazing food served here. We’ve passed by this place so many times & we couldn’t believe what wonderful flavors are available here!
We tried the Spicy noodle dish with chicken which was tasty with a forgiving spice to it.
In addition, we tried the Tom Yum soup with veggies & tofu. This soup could win awards… The flavor was BOLD and exploding in that flavor.
We can’t wait to come back for more!“

“The food is fabulous every time I try to call in an order. Nobody wants to pick up when I go to pick up the order. They don't recognize females as much as they recognize. Men.
For example, I'm standing there 15 minutes. Waiting for the lady to ask me what I'm there for and she didn't, so I sat down to wait. A man came in and she instantly said, are you here for pick up or to eat?“

“Today I went to rodeo 39 in Garden Grove with some friends and I stumbled across Kra Z Kai's. It was my second time trying Laos barbecue. This place is a hidden gem for sure. Everything was the delicious. The ribs were marinated for 24 hours. The barbecue pork and the chicken were all marinated in the same sauce. The owner told me the service was fast and this whole ambience was nice some of the best food I've had in a long time next time I'm going to Garden Grove. I will come here again.“

“Monday, June 1, 2026 - You probably don’t really know this about me 🤣😂 so let me tell you… I absolutely love Thai food 🍜🌶️❤️ I’ve eaten at many Thai restaurants over the years, and while I’ve found a few favorites around Orange County, Long Beach Thai Restaurant was truly an unexpected treasure find ✨
Tucked away in a little strip mall on E Anaheim Blvd., this cozy and super clean spot completely surprised us 😊 We ordered the Rad Nah and asked for the flat rice noodles to be extra charred, just the way I love them 😄🔥 Along with that, we had shrimp Tom Kha Koong, spicy watercress chicken with chili oil, fried spring rolls, and Thai iced coffee 🥢☕🌶️ Everything was delicious, comforting, flavorful, and one of those meals where you keep saying, “just one more bite” 🤣😩😂
What made the experience even better was Kunlaya, aka Ein, the owner/server 🌹 She was warm, gracious, friendly, and so fun to chat with — never missing a beat 😊 You all know how I am… food somehow always tastes even better when the people serving it are kind-hearted, welcoming, and top notch ❤️
Of course, this is just based on my own experience and personal taste… and I’ll admit, I’m pretty particular when it comes to food 🤣😂 So when I say I enjoyed it, that really means something coming from me 😊🍜✨
Definitely one of those hidden gems I’d happily drive back for again“

“Highly recommended by another fellow Elite Yelper so we decided to check it out. We had a good experience, both food and service were very good.
We started with Chicken satay and the meat was very tender and tasty.
Pineapple fried rice was a very generous portion (not served on a pineapple) and very good. You can taste the fire power on the fried rice that you can’t make at home.
Green curry with beef is tasty, but probably better to pair with shrimp or chicken or tofu.
The seafood hotpot was slightly more sour than what I’d like (this is normal and expected as my stomach can’t tolerate acid very well, and mentioned ahead of time), they gladly took it in and mild it down for us. It came out a bit later and it was delicious.
Service was excellent, it was pretty busy with all the tables taken, everyone was courteous, caring, and helpful.“

“I ordered pick up and I will say that the customer service was great. The gentleman who answered was very nice and friendly. Unfortunately, the Pad Thai that I got ordered had very little flavor.
It was very bland and I was very disappointed especially after paying $17, which I thought was a little expensive., I did get a cucumber on the side and it was very delicious. I will probably go back again and hope that it was just a one off and that the food will be better next.“

“As someone who is particular about Thai food, Thai Seven in Downtown Brea genuinely impressed me. This is one of those hidden gems where you can immediately tell there is real attention being paid to the kitchen.
The first thing that stood out was the aroma—the unmistakable fragrance of a properly fired wok, with that smoky depth that gives Thai cooking so much character. The Spaghetti Kee Mao was exceptional: aromatic, savory, beautifully seasoned, and full of wok-fired flavor without being overwhelmed by sauce. The popcorn chicken arrived golden and remarkably crisp, yet remained tender and juicy inside.
The biggest surprise was the Crying Tiger beef. It was beautifully grilled, tender, flavorful, and easily comparable to something I would expect from a quality steakhouse. The execution was excellent.
Beyond the food, the service was attentive and welcoming. Owner Nova personally made us feel at home, adding the kind of genuine hospitality that separates a good restaurant from a memorable one.
Thai Seven isn’t trying to reinvent Thai cuisine—it simply executes it extremely well. Authentic flavors, proper wok cooking, quality ingredients, and genuine hospitality. For anyone searching for excellent Thai food in the Brea area, this hidden gem in the heart of Downtown Brea deserves your attention.
One important thing to know: Thai Seven is under new ownership. For anyone reading older negative reviews, I would encourage you to give this restaurant another look. Things have changed. The quality of the food, service, and overall experience we received reflects a restaurant moving in a very positive direction.“

“I always love supporting my culture’s food, and Monorom absolutely delivered. Not to brag… but I think Khmer people make the best beef skewers (Sach Ko Ang), and these were packed with flavor and grilled to perfection.
The bok lahong (Cambodian papaya salad) hit the spot with that perfect balance of tangy, spicy, and refreshing. The curry was rich, comforting, and absolutely amazing—especially with the fresh bread for dipping.
If you’ve never had Cambodian food, Monorom is a great place to start. Proud to support a restaurant that shares a piece of Khmer culture with the community. ❤🇰🇭“

“Wonderful spot. They have happy hour from 5-7 everyday so we order the crispy dumplings and edamame to start and shared a Khoa Soi and papaya salad.
Everything was good but the papaya salad was a standout! It was so refreshing and packed with citrus flavor. We chose mild heat which was the perfect spice for us. We will be back to work our way through the soups but will keep the salad in rotation.
They also offer a nice clean patio space and comfortable bar seating which is where we chose to have a view out the windows. Came on a Monday evening and there was no wait. Service was great and attentive.“

“I have been going to Thai Pepper for decades now. There food is always just spot on and the lunch special of $9.95 is a great deal. You get an entree in which I always get The Mint Leaves Chicken, fried rice, two fried wontons and a salad. My only suggestion would be to put the salad in a separate little box so it does not get hot next to the hot food. Other than that the food is excellent and great prices. You can get it mild to very hot on the spice! I stick with mild and my friend always gets the level 10 hot, hot, 🔥🥵 HOT. I would die, but different strokes for different folks.👍🤤🎉“

“It was our first time to check out this Thai restaurant, and we're glad we decided to give it a shot today. We usually go to Monora or Sweetee for our Thai food cravings. BTW, the lunch special is only available M-Th.
This place replaced Sup Noodles, the layout looks similar. We ordered Prik King chicken, Choo Chee Salmon and Mango Sticky Rice. Prik King has green bean, bell pepper and chicken (or choice of tofu, crispy pork, beef, shrimp), stir fried with red chili paste. It's pretty good (3/5) although the green bean is rather soft (I prefer flash fried then a quick stir fry) and crispy pork might have been a better choice than chicken. The Choo Chee Salmon is average (3/5), my preference is to reduce the coconut milk and more red curry, it's a bit too creamy for my taste. The mango sticky rice dessert is out-of-this-world good (5/5). The mango is perfect and sweet, the purple rice is warm and topped with fragrant coconut milk sauce. We will return to check out the Khao Soi, Crab fried rice or Kapow... and more mango sticky rice.“

“I wanted a to-go (takeout) Thai food option. I decided to get the chicken pad thai; it was good! A tip I would recommend is that you should definitely squeeze a slice of lime on the pad thai, add the crushed peanuts, and add at least one soy sauce packet BEFORE mixing it well.“
