The bagel was cooked to perfection and flavored wonderfully. The people were super nice and it was made super quickly.“

“My husband and I just bought a house in the neighborhood and were looking for a place to grab a quick sandwich and pastry before going to our closing meeting.

The two young women working inside were SO welcoming. Truly, you would think they knew we were soon to be neighbors to the store. The ambiance inside is clean and bright, with a well-stocked display case of fresh donuts near the counter and several coolers of various beverages (a good selection, too) across from it.

Our order was VERY freshly made and prepared quickly. We also ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice and a cup of drip coffee and took it to go. The sizes of the sandwiches are very generous (pics don’t do it justice, but I’m only holding HALF in the photo) and it was so tasty! Fresh, crisp, and flavorful.

This donut stop is a MUST. New to the area, so not sure if it’s the norm, but any New Yorkers should get bodega vibes from this stop. Will absolutely be making this a regular stop for my family.“

“Best bagels in LA. Always hit the spot. I love the plain bagels with cream cheese but they also have so many cool specialty bagels I feel like you can't get anywhere else in LA. It's usually somewhat busy but I preorder most of the time which makes the whole process much easier so I recommend doing that. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. “delicious, high quality bagels, toppings, and cream cheese spreads! came on a wednesday morning and there was a small line, the food itself is amazing and there is a wide variety of bagel options ranging from bagels with cream cheese, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch sandwiches. drinks are also available but didn’t try. it is on the pricier side with the BEC at nearly $17 without avocado… but it is in santa monica so that checks out. definitely recommend to UCLA students looking to try something new, food is great!!“

“Now I love me some bagels. I eat bagels several times in a week. I walked by this place and I said let me look at the menu. The prices seemed pretty good. Then I couldn’t even decide what I wanted because it all looked so darn delicious. People kept trickling in and I’m like oh shoot this place is busy. It was around lunchtime. I was greeted every employee in there seemed super happy with smiles on their face like they loved their jobs. They all worked fast. There was about four or five people making bagels stocking everything and just doing their job very thoroughly. But I will say this if you’re not a bagel fan come here and it will change your mind from how they pair their sauces, meats, eggs, veggies everything altogether you will fall in love with this place. Best bagel ever for the first time customer I will be back. I will become a regular.“

Budget lunch options in Sawtelle are hard to come by. At NY Bagel and Deli, you can get a good old fashion new york style bagel for less than $10 (including an add on and the egg surcharge). Their bagels seemed to be made in house. I found their everything bagel to be delicious! It was very filling as well.

I came later around 1pm and they ran out of hashbrowns. Hoping they have hashbrowns the next time I visit!“

“Its tasty. Ingredients are fresh. I got the one with cream cheese and salmon. The amount of salmon was laughable paper thin pieces, but the entire sandwich tasted good. The portion is basically two big half bagels. The dough is not doughy and doesnt stand out like at Noah's. The tomatoes are really tasty and meaty. With a can of soda I ended up paying $23 which is kinda hurtful lol. The place is pretty small but they have a small curbside seating area. The play neutral music and the service was fast. “Stopped by Sam’s bagel to grab a lunch sandwich. Around 1:30 pm there were not many options left. I’ve ordered a Turkey sandwich on a Jalapeño Bagel.
Sandwich comes with lettuce and other veggies and sliced turkey ham, 11$ for the sandwich is a fair price. The taste was good but nothing special, just a good sandwich. It’s more a shop for to go orders. Service was ok, had to wait until the staff took my order even if nobody was in front of me.

“This place charges $5 for a large orange juice but the size looks like what most Americans would classify as small/medium. I had to double check google maps to see if I was back in Hawaii again.

However, the bagels are bangin — try the all nighter. You won’t be disappointed.“

“Mike at Mama Donuts decorated our donuts as a turntable for our daughter’s 50th birthday. It was a vinyl record party theme! The donuts were amazing! The decor, the taste. They fit the theme and they were scrumptious. Mike was so great! He was responsive and his customer service was excellent. I highly recommend Mama’s Donuts whenever you want donuts!“

I haven't been to the dad's deli, Langer's in decades, and forgot what a good pastrami tastes like - only Langer and his daughter do it right, and on the best rye bread in town.
