Budget lunch options in Sawtelle are hard to come by. At NY Bagel and Deli, you can get a good old fashion new york style bagel for less than $10 (including an add on and the egg surcharge). Their bagels seemed to be made in house. I found their everything bagel to be delicious! It was very filling as well.

I came later around 1pm and they ran out of hashbrowns. Hoping they have hashbrowns the next time I visit!“

“Its tasty. Ingredients are fresh. I got the one with cream cheese and salmon. The amount of salmon was laughable paper thin pieces, but the entire sandwich tasted good. The portion is basically two big half bagels. The dough is not doughy and doesnt stand out like at Noah's. The tomatoes are really tasty and meaty. With a can of soda I ended up paying $23 which is kinda hurtful lol. The place is pretty small but they have a small curbside seating area. The play neutral music and the service was fast. “This place charges $5 for a large orange juice but the size looks like what most Americans would classify as small/medium. I had to double check google maps to see if I was back in Hawaii again.

However, the bagels are bangin — try the all nighter. You won’t be disappointed.“

“Stopped by Sam’s bagel to grab a lunch sandwich. Around 1:30 pm there were not many options left. I’ve ordered a Turkey sandwich on a Jalapeño Bagel.
Sandwich comes with lettuce and other veggies and sliced turkey ham, 11$ for the sandwich is a fair price. The taste was good but nothing special, just a good sandwich. It’s more a shop for to go orders. Service was ok, had to wait until the staff took my order even if nobody was in front of me.

“First of all, whole wheat bagels you’re available here. My favorite is the whole wheat sesame toasted and dressed traditionally with lox, cream cheese, tomato, red onion and capers. A Saturday tradition with me. Highly recommended.“

“By far the BEST coffee, juice, bagels and donuts I have EVER had!!!It’s my first stop when I get to LA and believe me I dream of their iced vanilla ice coffees when I’m home in Canada. First time ever having flavoured coffee without it being flavoured from a sweet syrup. They infuse their beans so bo sugar or cream needed for me.Tip: they do sell the coffee beans so you can bring it home.Favourites: Black Vanilla Ice Coffee, Fresh squeezed orange juice, cheese bagel, glazed donut!The juice is like biting an orange directly.
