“This is my favorite Hotel in Chiang Rai BECAUSE OF THE STAFF! I come often, and all the staff is so remarkable in their cheer, friendliness, calling me by name, and helpful in every detail! The managers are wonderful! They welcome me by name and give the red carpet treatment! The Chefs and those in the restaurant bend over backwards for me, in making my favorite dishes, even if it is NOT on the menu! The house girls cleaning the rooms take care of me with the most beautiful smiles I have ever seen!! Last, and most definitely not least, are the bellboys! They are all incredibly helpful, pleasant, and humorous! TOY and NOPE and WAVE are exceptional! They run to meet me at my car, with the warmest welcome, taking ALL my bags and luggages, and welcoming me so warmly. They ask me about my work, my health, and make me feel like their family!!!! THIS does not happen in other hotels! I travel extensively in Thailand to 5 star hotels, and also in other countries. I love the Restaurant Chefs and Staff! Last night they made Sticky Rice especially for me as I had to work late! Am, Corn, Tarn, Jasmine, Wan, and Perk are so attentive, and wonderful!!! Because of this hotel, I always want to stop in Chiang Rai. I also have talked to the young owners, and gave suggestions and ideas...which they carried out! That doesn't happen elsewhere! “We had such a great experience at Urban Plates! The food was fresh, delicious, and came out quickly. The service was truly above and beyond. Haden, Shira, and Cynthia were all amazing—super friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcomed. It’s rare to find a team that takes such good care of you, but they absolutely did. We’ll definitely be coming back!“

“I grew up in this area, and honestly, this mall used to feel so dead. It’s wild how much it’s transformed. I was back in town visiting a friend and decided to check it out, and wow, totally different vibe now. Even for a weekday lunch, the place was buzzing with people. Definitely make a reservation if you want a specific time, because I’m glad I booked ahead.

The atmosphere is super cute, and the food really surprised me, in the best way. I came in with low expectations, but everything we ordered was on point. Service was excellent, too. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, and kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed.

One highlight I have to mention: I asked for hot sauce on the side, and they brought out this house spicy sauce (not sure of the exact name) that was SO GOOD. If you’re into heat, definitely ask for it. It really takes the food up a notch.“

“This place is ten minutes from my house but the Angeleno along us is the one who found it and invited us there! Nice outdoor seating if you don’t want to be indoors; the cute menu includes vegetarian options and nice cocktails (though not poured deep); we lived our options. I got the impossible taco salad (Impossible crumbles replaced regular hamburger taco meat); my son had a Pepperoni flatbread; he pointed out to us that (per the menu)a dollar from every sale of that pizza goes to children’s charities. “We randomly came across Lazy Dog Restaurant driving through Thousand Oaks on our way to Big Bear on the 4th of July weekend. We wanted to get some real food and a beer.

We parked in the parking lot across the street which had a fair amount of available parking.

We were able to get a seat right away. Service was quick and friendly. The menus are cool (leather wrapped). Tons of good food options. Good size meal. Pricing is very fair for the portion and quality.

We wanted to try a new beer and tried the Huckleberry Haze IPA and it was amazing. We ever got a 4 pack to go (yes they even sell it canned)! This beer was SO good that we HAD to stop back while driving home from Joshua Tree for lunch and of course, more of the Huckleberry beer. They also have a lunch special, a half sandwich, and a salad and other side like fries for around $12.“

“Lemmo's grill is a new find for me. What a great place! We were greeted and seated quickly. The food was fantastic and the service was perfect. Calamari was awesome and the marinara sauce that accompanied it was a wonderfully rich and complex. Ordered steak medium rare.....and it was medium rare. It was seasoned perfectly and delicious. The people may have been the best part. Family owned and operated the owners were present, helpful and extremely nice. if you are looking for a big chains and mediocre service and food. “We had an amazing experience at Oka's Local Craft Kitchen & Bar! Our server, Kali, was absolutely fantastic—humble, down-to-earth, and incredibly helpful, making our visit even more enjoyable. The food was outstanding! We tried the Vegetable Pizza, Nachos, Blue Cheese Burger, and the Shrimp with Steak, and every dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. “When we arrived a large party, with lots of noisy kids, were preparing to leave. However, it took them a while, so it was noisy and chaotic. But, when they left we really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the outdoor patio. You never believe you're sitting next to the very busy parking lot. Kevin was our waiter, again. He was very apologetic for the chaos and, as on previous occasions, very friendly and efficient. My friend wasn't hungry, so she only ate 1/2 of her 1/2 roasted beet salad. She did enjoy it and took the rest to go. I had my usual pasta with goat cheese and marinara sauce. I was hungry and ate my entire dish, whereas I normally take half to go. It was delicious, of course. Overall, we had a nice lunch and catch up. I'll be back.“

“Sunset Terrace is my "GO TO" social and sports bar in Thousand Oaks and I frequent 3 times a week. By far they have the best happy hour on weekdays 3 - 7 pm. (Drinks - 50% off / Food - 25% off). They have plenty of pool tables, big screen TVs, and the only bowling alley (4 lanes) in town. The crowd is mostly locals who welcome newbies and make them feel right at home. The bartenders and servers are friendly and efficient and I rate their food a #10. The have security and I like the fact that never have I seen a fight there. The thing I don't get about this place, though, is the exact protocol for getting your order in. Even if you get there thirty minutes early, to sit through 90 minutes of car ads, it's unclear whether you need to push the call button or not. I've had staff walk right by me either way. And I'm not rich enough to fund an RCT with enough power to be sure.“
