“My husband and I usually go during happy hour for their poke nachos and crispy brussel sprouts but have tried a few other things. Everything we've tried has been delicious but occasionally varies in preparation quality. We went on March 18th and ordered the poke nachos but they were not as good. The portion was a lot smaller than usual, so we decided to order another one. The second one came out great (I included a picture of the one prepared correctly) and that's when we realized they left off ingredients from the first one sent. They were still good but it was interesting that the two plates were that different. We didn't mention this to our waiter and I'm sure they would have been accommodating but maybe plates should be checked for quality before they're delivered?

Another note, we usually sit at the bar but we got a table the last time since the bar was packed. We were obviously fine with this but the cleanliness was extremely lacking. The menus had food on them and greasy fingerprints. I'm also not sure why the booths are never wiped down?? The tables are cleaned but the food just lands on the seats. Then you're wondering what else isn't cleaned, look around, and notice all the other spots that aren't wiped down. So gross.“

“I seriously regret not coming here sooner. I have been living in this area since 2009. This was my first visit. And I absolutely love the Ahi burger. It looks like backbone meat, but it is huge and fresh to taste. The salad version is better imo.

Anyway, it's not just burgers and pizzas here. They have great menu selection.

“Stayed here for a few days. Restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner. No food between 10-4pm if you’re in the hotel. Their little market does have food to go options.

Breakfast opens at 6am. Sadly, you can’t pre-order. I ordered for delivery one more and then pickup the next. If you order online, make sure to pay attention if you pick room service or pickup.

Had dinner a few times. They have grilled octopus. The one that I got was a tad salty and lemony. I’m not keen on lemon on my seafood. It was tender. So if you don’t mind it, then you’ll be ok. Otherwise, let them know to go easy on the lemon and salt. Also ordered fish tacos, chicken wings and truffle Parmesan fries. Out of all of them, I’d say truffle Parmesan was the best.

Staff was excellent and attentive. Food was amazing and very, very creative. The brick barrel vaulted ceiling that runs the length of the restaurant really adds to the ambiance of this place. Out of the seven dishes, only two were not as flavorful as expected. They were good by most other restaurant's standards, but just not great like the others. The other five dishes more than made up for this small blip.Can't wait to go again.

Lamb chops with Aji Amarillo, rosemary, and yogurt. These were the most tender lamb chops I have ever had. And that often overly-lamb flavor was not there.
And do not pass up on the Charred Skirt Steak with yuca, chile de árbol, and aji mojo. Cooked to a perfect medium rare and extremely tender and exploding with flavor. The most expensive item of our dinner at $48 and absolutely worth it.“

“I ordered the Santa Maria BBQ sandwich, and it was delicious. The bread was incredibly fresh. I even got to see them making it right there. Anissa (I hope I am spelling that right) took my order and truly impressed me with her efficiency. She handled everything from running the register to prepping food and organizing to go orders. Despite the busy crowd, she was friendly, thorough, and quick. The restaurant was clean and well organized and the employes worked seamlessly as a team. Great Food, great service.“

“I always love stopping by On The Thirty to hangout/dine when in the area!

It's right on Ventura with a nice outdoor patio space, so it's great for a bit of people watching (or perhaps more like car watching at times)!

They're usually playing sports on the tv's inside when we go, but we usually just chill on the outdoor space.

Service has always been super friendly and good about making sure you're taken care of and giving you refills/anything else you may need.

For the food - last time I went, I got one of the salads (trying to be a little bit healthier haha)!
It was HUGE, super fresh, and packed FULL of flavor from all the delicious toppings. The perfect mix of textures with some crunchiness.
There's plenty of other menu items as well - we've had items like the burgers, brick oven pizzas, and ceviche in the past.
All are very generously portioned, packed with high quality ingredients, and super tasty/satisfying to enjoy!

Oh yeah, and if you drink...the cocktails here are tasty and STRONG!
I had one and was feeling QUITE tipsy!!

“The bar at the Valley Inn is perhaps one of the best kept secrets in LA. Yes, it’s tiny but get there early, secure your seat and you’re in for a ride of the greatest cocktails served up by a ladies and gentlemen’s gentleman - the maker with the shaker, Bill. Seriously, make a friend of this guy and then introduce him and the bar to your favorite people - only your favorite people! “I have to share how great Judith, the manager, was today. I messed up my to-go order and put two chicken tenders instead of chicken tenders and chips. She not only not charged me for the chips after explaining the situation but gave me quite a large portion. I know chips are cheap but this small painless interaction was just so appreciated. “Tried the Margherita pizza and the avocado egg rolls at Finney's Crafthouse, and both were really good. The pizza had a nice crispy crust with fresh tomatoes, basil, and just the right amount of cheese. The avocado egg rolls were crispy without being greasy, and the dipping sauce was so good that we finished every bite. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere made it a great spot to relax. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.“
