From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by Ashley, who provided top-notch customer service. Her extensive knowledge of the menu made my decision-making process a breeze. After hearing her recommendations, I ordered the Chilaquiles Verde, and let me tell you, it was an explosion of flavors! The dish was beautifully presented, featuring perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs, seasoned country potatoes on each side, and two delicious sausage patties that complemented the chilaquiles perfectly.

To top off my meal, Ashley suggested mixing their special blend iced tea with a splash of lemonade. This refreshing concoction was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, enhancing my dining experience even further.

“My first time here and I will now go more often. I got the Godfather sandwich and it is filled with lots of meat and so flavorful. I also got a regular cannoli which actually tastes like a good Italian cannoli that.I was hoping for not just something stuffed with frosting. Everything was so delicious and the staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere is of a just down home cute, comfortable place. I will definitely be going back“

“I was in this restaurant for the very first time recently, and I left just completely impressed. I was in town doing business with the great folks at El Cajon Guitars and Music. Getting new strings on my guitar, and Frank and Maria suggested this diner—and I’m so glad I listened to them!
The whole spot is comfortable, but the service is what stood out, as much as my roast beef sandwich.From the minute I walked in the door, Vicky—the owner—was wonderful. She was the only one working there, but she didn’t seem rushed at all. She greeted me with a big, bite, genuine smile right away, and we had a pleasant little conversation. Right off the bat, I didn't feel like just a number; I felt like a true friend, and that warmth made me feel immediately at ease.
I got the roast beef and cheddar sandwich, and I decided to take it to go. I drove over to Lindo Lake to sit and enjoy it, and I must say, the sandwich itself was truly wonderful. The beef had a great flavor, and what made it perfect was the freshness of the fixings, the tomato and lettuce were crisp and bright, which really balanced the meat out. It was so good, in fact, it was almost as good as the ones my Mom used to make, and that’s the highest praise I can give!
In fact, that sandwich was so good, I had a little trouble keeping it all to myself! While I was sitting there, a goose waddled right up and was looking at my sandwich like it wanted a piece of it. I had to laugh; even the local wildlife knows good food when it sees it!
If you're looking for a fantastic sandwich, you absolutely ought to stop in here. I was a first-timer, but It certainly won't be the last visit. My dad always taught me to support the businesses of my friends, and Vicky truly made me feel like a friend. I’ll certainly be back to support her business and try other sandwiches. “.......this is the best deli in san diego county period !!........2 of my favorites are the meatball (of course !) and the muffaletta.......that meatball sammie has some of the best meatballs i've had on this planet.........and boy, does this deli have delicious bread which we all know can make or break the sammie, irregardless of what's stuffed inside.......a bit crusty on the outside but pillowy soft wonderness on the inside.......drenched in tasty marinara, some goood melted provolone and them tasty meatballs.............my soul ascends somewhere while i eat this tasty treat, every time..........and that muffaletta is a nice, lighter surprise than the one in the big easy.......the olive spread is nice and brawny like a good olive spread should be..........i've had a few others as well but wanted to highlight my faves...........you can't go wrong here and your tastebuds will say grazie grazie grazie.........“

“One of the hidden gems in this area. Whenever I'm in the area I always make sure to come by and pick up a sandwich or two.
The lady working there is always so nice and smiley, it certainly made today's rainy weather feel less gloomy.

The prices are very generous and the ingredients are very fresh.
-The mayonnaise, mustard, banana peppers, red onions, lettuce, tomato, and giant slither of pickle ("pickled" cucumber?) was very well-balanced, nothing overwhelmed one-another.

-I ordered The Valley Melt -corned beef, turkey (on sourdough I think)
The other was The Pastrami melt
And 2 slices of Bacon on the side (which was devoured as soon as I got in the truck)
