“I'm so used to getting rice that is room temperature at best. So I ordered the chicken shawarma rice bowl, and the first thing I notice is the rice is warm . . . like really warm. I also have a fear of really hot spicy food because it makes me sick. No problem here - the chicken was so delicious, and not "hot" spicy at all. Just a really great flavor. My friend ordered the same, and her reaction was the same. Great flavor, so tasty! The service was great too! But the very best part was the size of the serving - it was such a generous serving, I had to ask for a to-go container, and enjoyed it again later that day. The restaurant was light, bright and clean. I totally recommend this restaurant.“

“The best place to try Bosnian food! I can’t pick one favorite, from cevapi to pizza to pita , this food taste like homemade. All employees are nice and friendly, but the owner is an amazing human being, so humble and approachable, honest and relatable, love chatting with him every time we visit Cali, which is usually 2-3 times a year and we make sure we eat lunch and dinner at Sofra Urbana every day. “I had placed a takeout order through the app and it gave me the quickest option to pick up in 15 minutes but I purposefully added extra time and chose to pick up in 30 minutes.

When I arrived 30 minutes later, my order was still not ready because they had run out of falafel. Despite the mishap, Rachael was the one who assisted me and handled the situation professionally with great care and understanding. She took time to discuss the matter and gave me options, but even more than that, she showed kindness and made me feel seen as a customer.

“My family went out and had a great experience. I had a chicken shawarma plate and it tasted very good. The portions are a decent size and we have leftovers for tomorrow. We also had walnut baclava and it was very good. Not only was the food fantastic but the atmosphere was also great. The owner was very nice and took care of our needs during our visit. Went for my son's birthday as he was craving shawarma. He got the lamb and his girlfriend got the beef shawarma. Both of them said it was very tasty.

I had the chicken curry stew and have leftovers. It came with a Greek green salad and basmati rice. So delicious and such deep flavors.

We'd come back again for sure and since my son and his girlfriend live in the area, they are adding it to their spots too.

“My family and I were looking for a restaurant that serves halal food on our way home. We found this on google maps and had minimal expectations.
Honestly, we were glad we stopped here, We loved it! The gentleman who worked their was super kind and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and pleased. So i would give the service 20 out of 10 !
We had kebbeh, lamb chops, and chicken tawook. Kebbeh was served super hot and crispy. Yum.
The other plates were delicious but there is a room for improvement. I would have prefered my tawook to be a little more juicier. But the flavor was their and I would order that again, no doubt.
They also provided us with lentil soup as an extra (probably coz it's ramadan?) And it was a super nice touch. Loved it.

“Great ambiance and amazing food. I had a lot of food… falafel, spicy hummus, kafta kabob, tzatziki loaded with veggies, cheese balls, and baklava. All so delicious and fresh. I even loved the fresh pita and dipping sauce that was complimentary. From the manager and many servers, everyone was pleasant and friendly throughout my time there. “I ordered the cinnamon oat latte, and I'm usually not a fan of oatmilk but it was balanced so well against the espresso and the cinnamon that it didn't dominate the flavor. It was a very smooth drink, not too sweet, not too bitter, and not too strong.

My wife got the strawberry matcha latte, and while the matcha was of a decent grade and quality, the strawberry isn't a puree, nor is it like a strawberry creme or milk added in, it's an additive in powder form and she doesn't tend to like that.

Their chocolate croissant, which we shared, was heated up as requested, it came with a line of melted chocolate drizzle on top, which I think was similar to Nutella but less thick in terms of consistency. It was also topped with powder sugar, and it had an inserted line of darker chocolate, maybe 65%, so pretty balanced against the sweetness of everything else involved.

The area the cafe is located in is nice, it's a large promenade with several nicer restaurants (it's also sort of attached to it's restaurant counterpart) and there's plenty to walk around and get some shopping done or walk off the drinks and baked sweets. Plenty of parking as well, and the mall itself is only a block or two north from the cafe.“
