“I ordered the Santa Maria BBQ sandwich, and it was delicious. The bread was incredibly fresh. I even got to see them making it right there. Anissa (I hope I am spelling that right) took my order and truly impressed me with her efficiency. She handled everything from running the register to prepping food and organizing to go orders. Despite the busy crowd, she was friendly, thorough, and quick. The restaurant was clean and well organized and the employes worked seamlessly as a team. Great Food, great service.“

I requested them to charge me for a sandwich, they refused. Usually in California they do not allow non customers to use restrooms with many many different excuses.“

“Pockets absolutely deserves some recognition. My family and I stopped in and ordered the Ultimate Steak Sandwich and the Don's Chicken Sandwich, and honestly both were some of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time.
The Ultimate Steak Sandwich was loaded with tender, juicy tri-tip, perfectly sautéed peppers and onions, and not one but two kinds of melted cheese all piled onto a toasted sesame roll. The combination of cheeses took it to another level — rich, gooey, and perfectly balanced with the meat and peppers. Every bite had great flavor and the meat was cooked just right. The Don's Chicken Sandwich was equally impressive — crispy, perfectly seasoned chicken topped with fresh avocado and crispy bacon. Not the kind of avocado that's been sitting around either — you could tell it was fresh.
We added fries to both orders and they were exactly what fries should be: crispy, well-seasoned, and not greasy. A great complement to both sandwiches.
The place itself is small and cozy — just a few tables — but the parking is easy which is always a plus. What really stood out though was the owner. He was running the whole operation by himself and somehow kept everything moving quickly and got our food out fresh and hot without any wait. That kind of dedication shows, and you can taste it in the food.
Pockets is the kind of local gem that deserves way more attention than it gets. If you're looking for a seriously good sandwich in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in. We'll definitely be back.“

“I wanted to give this place a try because one of my coworkers kept recommending it. I tried the egg lover panini and this is just a personal preference but I did not like the combination of mustard with egg and it had way too much mayo for my liking. Also the girls working there today are lacking customer service. They weren’t rude or anything but I would have been nice if they asked how I was doing, if I’ve been there before, if I had any questions, any recommendations, etc. It just seemed like they were not happy to be there at all. But I’m trying to be understanding because everybody is going through things. I might decide to give it another chance.“

“Came in this afternoon, was warmly greeted immediately as soon as I entered. Ordered a jumbo pastrami sandwich which ran me about 17 bucks on the dot, which for how big the sandwich was is pretty good imo. The bread was warm the meat was good and the veggies were fresh. Had a crack at the pinball machines and then went about my day. Overall a pretty good experience. I'd come here again!“

“The owner of this place is truly one of the best. He treats his customers like family, and you can tell he genuinely cares about the people who come through the door. I believe he’s originally from Australia, and for some reason I thought he no longer owned the place, so it was great seeing him there again the other day.

The shop is always clean, the staff is friendly, and I’ve had a lot of good experiences here. I did get a little upset recently because my sandwich wasn’t made the way I expected, but I later found out the person working that day was only filling in for one day and normally works at another location. That completely changed my perspective, because it wouldn’t be fair to hold this store or its regular staff responsible for one person’s mistake.

At the end of the day, this is still one of my favorite places. Great owner, great atmosphere, friendly people, and a business that makes you feel welcome. I’ll definitely keep coming back.“

My mom and I ordered the garlic basil sandwich and my personal favorite the spicy chicken sandwich with Caesar salad.The oven baked bread is savory along with the ingredients and fresh guacamole in the sandwiches. “Luis made the perfect giant sandwich for me and my sister! The Giant sub was about $19.00 and a normal (half the size), costs about $11.00. Luis and Josh both had wonderful customer service to all ages and types of customers that walked through the door. They were very patient, smiling, and kind. This location is a little small, but still has places to sit and eat. The sub tasted great!

“My sandwich was SO mouth watering and delicious that I felt the need to review this subway. I come here often, and honestly this was the best sandwich by far. I’ve never been disappointed, their ingredients are ALWAYS fresh, the customer service is amazing, and even if they have a line I swear. They work so fast and so well with one another. I’ve been to many other subways and the lettuce is all mushy and gross and they throw your sandwich together and half of the time they aren’t friendly. Coupons are a life saver and I’m grateful for this place especially when I’m always on the go. Thank you guys! My lunch was soooo good!“

“Placed a hot sub 2/23/26 3pm and was done quick. I can respect the attention to detail about how the sub wasn’t wrapped too tight for a hot sub and there wasn’t chicken or cheese melting out the side in the wrapper.

As I was waiting in line, the only slight con that I would mention is maybe more banter/light conversation between the slicer and then also whoever sprinkling the subs. I get that you want to ask for their order and ask Mikes Way and just finish the sub. But one thing that made the store that I had great in NC was the owner and GM always being friendly and asking about the customers day.

It isn’t really a big deal but I’m sure this helped retention and tipping.“

“My son went here for a job, after interviews they told him to fill out his in boarding paperwork, he did, then they would send him a schedule, never showed up, calls went un answered, they would put him on hold when he called and let him wait and never pick up..he stayed on hold over 40 minutes. How can you be that cruel? If you don't want to hire the kid then fine just tell him. He turned down other jobs waiting for his schedule. This is disgusting behavior. “The only reason for not providing 5 stars is that there was a large amount of online orders to be made. There were 2 employees there and a long line inside. I fail to see why it's more important to serve a non-visible order as opposed to the person standing in front of you. The person who made my order apologized for the long wait, women though it wasn't her fault. Would I have received my order faster if I ordered it online? Probably, but that's still wrong.“

“Everything was great. I went twice in a row. First time I purchased 4-$20.00 gift cards and was given the receipts. Next time I went my account was locked and did not receive credit for my purchase. I was notified by Subway of suspicious activity on my account and to inform them of my past purchases with dates, time and location. After a couple of weeks I was notified my account was unblocked, but no credit for my purchase although I sent the receipt. Odd, just odd. Hard to get a parking spot in the small parking lot. Street parking is limited as well as next to a fire station.“
