She spread garlic butter on both top and bottom breads then added lots of cheese to both sides put two trays of steak on it and put it in the oven extremely Yummy smelling right?! Then when she took it out and asked politely what I wanted on it I had her put lots of green bell peppers, red onion, pepper cheenies , and sliced tomatoes oh and a line of lite mayo and one of honey mustard Oh My Goodness!!!!! Best sandwich I’ve ever had, for real For Real !!! I ate one half with vinegar and sea salt chips and theses new fountain drinks that taste like tropical juices all kinds of flavors to choose from I would suggest you eat there so you can get free refills on your drink because all the flavors are so good I actually mixed them !! Healthy and great tasting juices watered down to where there not too sugary. I had had her to wrap the other half of my sandwich for my grandson but unfortunately it never made it to him because that sandwich was so very great ????????????! Get the subway app on your phone before you pay and earn 53 tokens . My whole experience was worth every penny what a blessing. “Everything is good til you have employees arnt as nice or don’t feel like working. Not even a smile or thank you for coming. I order my sandwich and just cause I didn’t wanted Mike’s a little girl gets an attitude and makes it sloppy and more when wrapping my sandwich she smashes her fingers hard on my sandwich. Then they have there loud heavy metal music in the evenings and too noisy. This is a food place, not a nightclub.. some women have there point tails out instead in a bun and having hair scatter. Not good.“

“I ordered the Santa Maria BBQ sandwich, and it was delicious. The bread was incredibly fresh. I even got to see them making it right there. Anissa (I hope I am spelling that right) took my order and truly impressed me with her efficiency. She handled everything from running the register to prepping food and organizing to go orders. “This place is an institution and it is very good but not going to be your typical sub shop you likely are expecting. They are CASH ONLY, and all their subs coming with the same ingredients, no lettuce. The pickles, onions, and tomatoes are not slices, they are chopped up and literally scooped up and place on the sub. It is delicious and they are very large portions, just not typical, know before you go! Try something different, you may like it!“

“There are a lot of places in Los Angeles to get a good. If not great sandwich. What sets Paulie's apart has to be the friendliest counter service I ever consistently run into. I was in there with my son this weekend and the gentleman behind the counter was kind and joked and smiled and did all the things that you want to see to make somebody feel welcome in your establishment. And it's not the first time I've experienced this there and it's not always with the same person. The sandwiches are bomb. But the service puts it over the top every time.“

“The description of Ike's to me made it sound like Fat Sal's and I was excited. Truth of the matter is Ike's holds its own, and it didn't disappoint. It has a great menu mixed with Meat and Veggie options. The Mrs. and I split and highly recommend the Captain Carl and the Meatless Mike (I concur "best vegan meatball in America", and Our 3 y/o gives the grilled cheese 👍👍. Our 9y/o swears it was the best grilled cheese she ever had.“

The soujouk burrito is delicious with great tortillas. Please don't change the tortillas. The green Greek salad is fresh and tasty. The coffee is smooth and perfect warn temperature. The macha was perfect as well. I believe what makes this a place I will come back to are the organic good quality ingredients they use and the attention to flavors. It's important to cook with care. They do cook with care and it shows. I will keep you posted if anything changes.
The negative for me is the parking and plastic utensils. Personally, I don't like plastic. However it will not deter me from coming back.“

I wanted to share feedback regarding my visit today during the new menu launch at Mendocino Farms. The restaurant was extremely busy, with high volume and some understandably frustrated guests as the team worked hard to keep up.

During this rush, Manager Olive provided exceptional hospitality and leadership. She personally checked in with me, offered a drink while I waited, and carefully verified that all of my order modifications were correct. Beyond that, she consistently supported her team—calling out orders, monitoring operations, and proactively engaging with guests who seemed upset to ensure they felt acknowledged and cared for.

Watching her remain calm, organized, and guest-focused in such a high-pressure situation truly stood out. This is a strong example of what great management looks like in action. I visit this location often, but seeing her lead the team so effectively today was genuinely impressive.

Please recognize her for the amazing job she is doing. She represents the brand exceptionally well and absolutely deserves recognition for her leadership and hospitality.

“Mendocino farms makes great sandwiches. But, the parking at the Toluca Lake location is a nightmare. Ordering pick-up??? You will regret it. Valet will turn you way even though half the parking is empty. People showing up to eat only to leave when they can't find parking. The priority for the Valet is profits above convenience. I wonder how much money the restaurants are losing everyday because of this. Hundreds for sure.“

“First time here yesterday and happy to keep coming back, had the hot pastrami sub and it was seriously good loved the mayo mustard combo with chopped tomato onion and pickles combined and layered generously over the whole sub Also had the Tonys special sub .. lots of fresh and tasty deli meats mortadella hams salamis and again the in-house mustard mayo combo .. awesome sandwich For a side I had the bow tie pasta which was cooked al dente with plenty of the marinated artichoke hearts and a great authentic Italian feel and flavour As this had now developed into leftovers for dinner given the size of it all I took us home a tiramisu for dessert later, and as with everything else well worth the eating Opened in 1979 and still going strong .. it’s easy to see why“

I’ve also heard him coaching and training others and I can tell he’s an amazing leader. I come by this location at least once a month and always have a great experience.

Parking: There’s street parking all around the intersection, just depends how much you need to walk. Service is usually quick enough that I can put in a quarter for 15 minutes at the meter and I leave well before it runs out.“

“Went to Fat Sal's in Encino and okay… the sandwiches are MASSIVE 😭 like we did not expect that lol.
The flavors were really good, super loadd and satisfying. Only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the wait was a little long and it got pretty crowded.

“Ordered the roast pork. Very big sandwich you can easily split or save the other half for later. I don’t know what liquid they add on top of the sandwich but it was amazing! Great service that was super efficient and fast which was super helpful since we had a flight to catch. It's a very convenient location right next to the burbank airport (3-5min walk door to door to the ticketing area) so we got a quick bite to eat before the flight, instead of getting charged for overpriced airport food. Overall: very filling/tasty food, solid friendly service, and super convenient location.“
