The second the first bite of Alex’s incredible burrito and street tacos hit my mouth there was no going back. His ability to create such incredible flavors in not only the burrito itself, but all of the add ons and sauces as well is OUT OF THIS WORLD!! “The wonderful person who attended us was so sweet and just delightful .The hot dogs are good, I mean it's a hot dog so I'm not sure what more people might expect when ordering. Though I do wish there was more seating but I understand the space is limited but the hot stand is worth a stop if you're hungry.

Parking: It's in the big shopping center right on the Lowe's side. Plenty of spots“

“They have beef, pork, chicken, pork skins, chorizo and hotdogs.They don't shortchange the stuffings (whether it's nachos, tacos or burritos).Complimentary salad (cucumber, onion, radish etc) I think is free for any customer who orders there.The guy who's in charge of hotdogs, nachos should be given an award for best customer service. This place has one of the best pastor tacos in LA. Their meats are well seasoned and are not dry. Their salsas have great flavor and heat.

“I stumbled across “nugtown” for late food in the area and was pleasantly surprised! Not only was the food made fresh to order - I literally watched him batter and fry them - the owner was the sweetest human who genuinely cared about his services. He even threw in every sauce (which are bomb btw) so we could try and report back. I brought them home to my boyfriend and he couldn’t stop telling people that we found a new go-to spot! “I went when it was pretty empty so thankfully there wasn't much of a wait time. You order on a tablet and wait to the side. I got their signature hotdog. It was really good and the sausage in the hotdog is actually a good size. I would go here again, but only if it's empty. The person at the stand who makes the food doesn't really talk, only to announce orders, so I can't say customer service is great, but it's amazing if you have anxiety.“

“The taco 5y10 is what you come here for. It’s delicious! The freshly handmade yellow corn tortilla is delicious and soft. I got the taco de cabeza which is would highly recommend. The fattiness of the cabeza complements the black bean filling of the taco, both in flavor and texture. My fiancé ordered the taco de al pastor which was also good but we both agreed the cabeza was better. One taco 5y10 is bigger than any burrito, so one is more than enough. They cut the taco in half so that it fits in the styrofoam box, so if you’re interested in trying different meats, brining a friend, each other a different meat and swap halves. Also, the agua de horchata is delicious! Definitely homemade, not from a packet.“

That’s enough to set this place apart from the tens of other tacos spots using low-quality tortillas. The tortilla should not be an after thought, folks! Second, the meats are delicious. Their al pastor is juicy and well-seasoned. I am a sucker for tripa but I’m always hesitant to order it because some people don’t know how to clean it and cook it. The tripa at Ricos Tacos Naomi is fantastic! You can ask the guy to crisp it up if you want it crunchy, but personally, I like it soft. And third, the toppings (salsas and guacamole) are yummy!“

“For me, the menu highlights are the grilled meats, jambalaya, gumbo. I saw how the Pit-master grilled the meats. He was very clear about no shortcuts or rushing the process.The jambalaya and gumbo were the best items I ordered today (11/11). I will definitely order these again. They were the best I ever tasted. Perfectly seasoned with high-quality meats, and very good. It’s the best I’ve ever tasted. I’ve only had commercialized gumbo and jambalaya at chain restaurants.I didn’t order any grilled meats. I anticipate the grilled meats being tasty because I tasted some of the meat in my gumbo and jambalaya at it was good and cooked to perfection.The sides were disappointing and I will not order again:Mac and Cheese:A little dry. Too much salt, too much unmelted cheese. Lacked a creamy inside. The bottom and top were just globs of unmelted cheese. Will not order again.Collard Greens:Tasted bland as if from a can. Mixed with spinach and mainly tasted like spinach. Will not order again. I added the greens to my gumbo so I didn’t waste them. Let’s be clear, the greens weren’t horrible. I grew up picking and eating freshly picked collards so I have high standards for greens.Red Beans & Rice:Beans were cold and tasted like they were from a can. Not the Louisiana red beans and rice I was expecting at all. Rice was undercooked with a slight crunch. I added the rice to my gumbo when I reheated it on the stove. I will figure out what to do with the beans.Customer service was good. The lady was very attentive and went above and beyond to ensure every customer was taken care of. She even gave out peanut butter cookies while we waited. Bring your patience as this is a small-scale (lean) food-service establishment.I spent $30 for 2 half orders of gumbo and jambalaya ($10 each), and 3 sides. I probably could have saved a few dollars if I ordered a veggie plate. It was a little pricey for the portion sizes. I charge it to the gumbo and jambalaya which was $10 each and served in 8oz containers. I usually pay $8 for 12oz or 16oz of soup.On a positive note, I got to sample the menu. I know what I like and don’t like. I don’t expect to like every menu item at any restaurant. Bottomline, I will go again.“
