This small niche Mexican restaurant is indeed very authentic, I’ll say it in both languages just cause it’s that amazing, the chilaquiles are a perfect blend of slightly spicy with great taste! If you are visiting from out of town and looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant this is the spot for sure, aqui la nuestro desayuno estuvo espectacular! Sofia's Kitchen is a very tasty, family owned restaurant in a mini mall on Ventura. It is a cute little spot, not fancy but homey, clean, and well lit. The small dining area accommodates a couple dozen guests. It is a delicious, prompt, and consistent place with excellent Mexican style food that is not salty. The menu has something for everyone with sensible and affordable prices. Dishes like the chilaquiles, heuvos rancheros, and Sofia's enchiladas are excellent, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. Every visit includes a complimentary chicken soup starter. The staff are sweet, friendly, and welcoming, providing amazing hospitality that makes guests feel right at home. Parking is limited, but it is highly recommended.
