We tried the Keto Taco, Asada Taco, Quesabirria Taco, Carnitas and beans and rice. Every bite was AMAZING! I can't rave enough. Please go taste the fluffiest rice and juicy carnitas. You will not be disappointed! GO!“

“Not bad at all. I've always noticed this restaurant but never went in till recently. One thing about the food industry is to never judge a restaurant by its location. The price was very decent and the food was fresh and delicious. Inside was clean and full of color. A good selection of beer, too. One thing I would add is they should mount a TV in the eating area when you first enter. Either than that I highly recommend this spot.“

“I must shout out the staff here - came through on a Friday night, ordered online, went through the drive through, got home and noticed one of the more expensive tacos was missing. Went back a little perturbed and walked in and let them know. They were apologetic and more than made up for it by adding 2 of those tacos on top of the one they missed with an extra sauce. Very kind and I appreciated their custome service skills very much! To Shay, Chris, and the shorter (possibly manager?) “I was visiting from Texas and just happened to see this place from across the street. So glad we went in. Great service from amazing people. Food was excellent. Clean, clean, clean. We ordered the tacos, quesabirrias, and menudo. Tacos and Quesabirrias were great. Fresh ingredients ! I was skeptical about the menudo because everyone makes it different in Texas and it can have flavors you’re not ready for. Their menudo was great! Reminded me of my dad’s. Wish we had some of these in Texas.“

“We got a few things today and they were all delicious! I got some carnitas tacos and the carnitas had a great flavor! My dad got the seafood cocktail and some Cabeza tacos and they were all fresh and delicious. The rice was a little lacking on flavor. But I understand you have to keep the sodium down for certain diet types.
We also got some cheese enchiladas to take home for my mom

Super nice, friendly older man behind the counter helped me pick an item when I told him it was my first time visiting; ordered the Birria Taco plate.
Food came quickly. Rice and beans were very good. Tacos looked absolutely mouth watering, but unfortunately were boring. The cheese was excellent, as was the tortillas, but the Birria meat was almost flavorless and the cup of dipping sauce was basically onion water. Maybe those air force folks can't take any heat, but I would at least expect a strong Birria flavor.
I really wanted to love this place as much as the locals, but maybe I'm too spoiled.
I'll be back and try the carne asada. Everything else but the meat was very good.“

“The food was fast and somewhat flavorful, at least on the Sunday evening we visited they only had a green and red salsa available for the chips, although from thier bar it appears they may have had more choices at one time.
The food was hot and fresh and some what flavorful, but lacked a distinct kick to it, I guess that is to appeal to a broader audience and just was well as they do offer Tapitio and Chalula on the tables in addition to the salsas

“First time here. Located next to Murillo's in front of hotel. Was able to walk right up and place order. Got two quesabirria tacos and a side of rice/beans. The tacos were crispy and the consomme not greasy as some places can be. They came with grilled onions, limes and a hot sauce that was perfect in heat. The rice had a very mild flavor as did the beans that were topped with cheese. I could taste mostly pinto beans but in a good way.“

“We had a group of 8 college friends meet there on a Saturday afternoon for a mini reunion. None of us had ever eaten there before so it was a nice surprise to find this off-the-beaten path restaurant. While it is in a shopping center, they did have outdoor seating that turned out to be adequate for our group. The outdoor tables are round & right next to the parking lot; but we pushed 6 tables together & fortunately it was a quiet day at the shopping center, so the noise level was low. They have a large selection of dishes to be ordered for lunch or dinner. I had the albondigas soup & thought it was great. I don't believe anyone complained about their food. My husband ordered the skirt steak fajitas & liked it. The margaritas are huge, and while not heavy on the alcohol, were pleasant tasting. After the wind came up, we decided to move inside to their one large table that seats 8-9 people comfortably. We stayed there for a total of about 5 1/2 hours & never felt rushed to leave. Our waiter was very patient & accommodating for us, quite attentive (i.e., he never forgot about us sitting out there on the sidewalk by the parking lot), and gave really excellent service, which we rewarded quite handsomely. Overall, the food is good, they have a full bar inside & the service was excellent. I would definitely go there again!“

“We recently had the pleasure of working with Taqueria Mi Mezcal in Fairfield for a team-building event catering for 35 people, and once again, they exceeded our expectations!

Their taco spread was a hit with everyone. Guests enjoyed building their own tacos or opting for delicious nachos with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The menu included juicy asada, tender chicken, and flavorful shrimp, accompanied by four incredible salsas: green, red, pico de gallo, and a tomato-based salsa. The trimmings—lettuce and their special sauce—added the perfect finishing touch.

The food was absolutely delicious, and we received tons of compliments from attendees. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the freshness of the ingredients to the seamless delivery process. “My friend and I came here after a hard leg 🦵 day at Vacaville Strength Experience gym. The place wasn't busy until after we walked in. After getting home, my friend realized that the "breakfast menu" specifically said REFRIED BEANS & RICE come with it. My friend did notice the bag was light but was alarmed until it was too late. Also, notice that a lot of the sauce tipped over inside the plastic bag because the Styrofoam was not as surcure as it should have been. The food was VERY TASTY, but disappointing due to the amount we paid was not sufficient due to not getting what we ordered and the fact they weren't busy and knowing their menu and what comes with it. 2 stars out of 5 💜💜🖤🖤🖤“

“Visited Azteca Mexican Food recently and loved everything we ordered from the menu. One pain point however, would be the vegetarian options. There aren't many to choose from apart from the Veggie Burrito. Would appreciate seeing more vegetarian options on the menu if possible!

“I’ve been coming to Chicken Express for over 20+ years. They are known for their Mexican Rotisserie Chicken. You can order plates or family meals. What’s cool about this place is that you can get tortillas, salsas and Spanish rice with your chicken as well as more traditional sides such as coleslaw, garlic bread and potato salad.

I go the 12 pice family meal which came with choice of tortillas or garlic bread and 2 large sides (I got coleslaw and Spanish rice). The chicken was delicious like usual and the coleslaw tastes a lot like KFC’s coleslaw which I like. The garlic bread was a little soggy by the time I brought it home and could benefit from a little more seasoning. The Spanish rice also could be slightly more flavorful. They used to have a salsa bar where you can get your own salsa, but I did not see one and they did not include any in my togo which was disappointing (I did not realize until I got home).

They have a parking lot behind the restaurant with a decent amount of parking, but be aware of your surroundings (particularly as it gets dark) because it’s a little sketchy there due to some homeless hanging out there. This location is on the busy North Texas Street, so pulling out of the parking lot can take a bit if you need to make a left turn to go east on North Texas St.

If you want some delicious rotisserie chicken, this is the place to go. They have locations in Fairfield, Suisun and Vallejo. The least sketchy location would be at the Suisun location.“

“Wife and I had lunch here for the first time on our list of places to try. One regular burrito with carne asada and one super burrito with carnitas. Both were good and probably the best taqueria style burritos we've had so far in Vacaville. Look forward to going again soon.“

“As of this review October 2025, they say all their beans are vegan, so I was able to choose between whole black, whole pinto, or refried. Besides that, it's a familiar experience for anyone who's had Cali-mex, but in my opinion it's better than average with free chips and nice salsas, less greasy than normal while still being tasty, very affordable, and friendly people.“
