We tried the Keto Taco, Asada Taco, Quesabirria Taco, Carnitas and beans and rice. Every bite was AMAZING! I can't rave enough. Please go taste the fluffiest rice and juicy carnitas. You will not be disappointed! GO!“

“Not bad at all. I've always noticed this restaurant but never went in till recently. One thing about the food industry is to never judge a restaurant by its location. The price was very decent and the food was fresh and delicious. Inside was clean and full of color. A good selection of beer, too. One thing I would add is they should mount a TV in the eating area when you first enter. Either than that I highly recommend this spot.“

“I must shout out the staff here - came through on a Friday night, ordered online, went through the drive through, got home and noticed one of the more expensive tacos was missing. Went back a little perturbed and walked in and let them know. They were apologetic and more than made up for it by adding 2 of those tacos on top of the one they missed with an extra sauce. Very kind and I appreciated their custome service skills very much! To Shay, Chris, and the shorter (possibly manager?) “I was visiting from Texas and just happened to see this place from across the street. So glad we went in. Great service from amazing people. Food was excellent. Clean, clean, clean. I was skeptical about the menudo because everyone makes it different in Texas and it can have flavors you’re not ready for. Their menudo was great! Reminded me of my dad’s. “We got a few things today and they were all delicious! I got some carnitas tacos and the carnitas had a great flavor! My dad got the seafood cocktail and some Cabeza tacos and they were all fresh and delicious. The rice was a little lacking on flavor. But I understand you have to keep the sodium down for certain diet types.
We also got some cheese enchiladas to take home for my mom
And she said there were delicious too!!

Super nice, friendly older man behind the counter helped me pick an item when I told him it was my first time visiting; ordered the Birria Taco plate.
Food came quickly. Rice and beans were very good. Tacos looked absolutely mouth watering, but unfortunately were boring. The cheese was excellent, as was the tortillas, but the Birria meat was almost flavorless and the cup of dipping sauce was basically onion water. Maybe those air force folks can't take any heat, but I would at least expect a strong Birria flavor.
I really wanted to love this place as much as the locals, but maybe I'm too spoiled.
I'll be back and try the carne asada. Everything else but the meat was very good.“

“First time here. Located next to Murillo's in front of hotel. Was able to walk right up and place order. Got two quesabirria tacos and a side of rice/beans. The tacos were crispy and the consomme not greasy as some places can be. They came with grilled onions, limes and a hot sauce that was perfect in heat. The rice had a very mild flavor as did the beans that were topped with cheese. I could taste mostly pinto beans but in a good way.“

“We recently had the pleasure of working with Taqueria Mi Mezcal in Fairfield for a team-building event catering for 35 people, and once again, they exceeded our expectations!

Their taco spread was a hit with everyone. Guests enjoyed building their own tacos or opting for delicious nachos with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The menu included juicy asada, tender chicken, and flavorful shrimp, accompanied by four incredible salsas: green, red, pico de gallo, and a tomato-based salsa. The trimmings—lettuce and their special sauce—added the perfect finishing touch.

“We had a group of 8 college friends meet there on a Saturday afternoon for a mini reunion. None of us had ever eaten there before so it was a nice surprise to find this off-the-beaten path restaurant. While it is in a shopping center, they did have outdoor seating that turned out to be adequate for our group. The outdoor tables are round & right next to the parking lot; but we pushed 6 tables together & fortunately it was a quiet day at the shopping center, so the noise level was low. They have a large selection of dishes to be ordered for lunch or dinner. I had the albondigas soup & thought it was great. I don't believe anyone complained about their food. My husband ordered the skirt steak fajitas & liked it. The margaritas are huge, and while not heavy on the alcohol, were pleasant tasting. After the wind came up, we decided to move inside to their one large table that seats 8-9 people comfortably. We stayed there for a total of about 5 1/2 hours & never felt rushed to leave. Our waiter was very patient & accommodating for us, quite attentive (i.e., he never forgot about us sitting out there on the sidewalk by the parking lot), and gave really excellent service, which we rewarded quite handsomely. Overall, the food is good, they have a full bar inside & the service was excellent. I would definitely go there again!“

“My friend and I came here after a hard leg 🦵 day at Vacaville Strength Experience gym. The place wasn't busy until after we walked in. After getting home, my friend realized that the "breakfast menu" specifically said REFRIED BEANS & RICE come with it. My friend did notice the bag was light but was alarmed until it was too late. Also, notice that a lot of the sauce tipped over inside the plastic bag because the Styrofoam was not as surcure as it should have been. The food was VERY TASTY, but disappointing due to the amount we paid was not sufficient due to not getting what we ordered and the fact they weren't busy and knowing their menu and what comes with it. 2 stars out of 5 💜💜🖤🖤🖤“

“I ate here a few days ago with a group of 13. We were promptly seated. A server came by took our drink orders while another server brought us several baskets of chips and bowls of salsa. Everyone in our group ordered something slightly different (beef tacos, chicken enchiladas, shrimp fajitas, taco salads, mole, and chili rellenos); we all agreed everything was delicious. The flavors were authentic, food served hot and the drinks ice cold. The service was wonderful too. The restaurant staff was very attentive and would fill up our drinks before they were empty. I look forward to eating at this restaurant again!“

“As of this review October 2025, they say all their beans are vegan, so I was able to choose between whole black, whole pinto, or refried. Besides that, it's a familiar experience for anyone who's had Cali-mex, but in my opinion it's better than average with free chips and nice salsas, less greasy than normal while still being tasty, very affordable, and friendly people.“

“The Highs: The chicken taco was pretty darn good. I enjoyed it. The shell has a nice crunch to it. The chicken was seasoned well My friend enjoyed her el pastor tacos as well. The chicken quesadilla really set it off for me. It was flavorful, nice portion size and I enjoyed the dip that came with it also.
The Lows: The food was kinda expensive. It was about $60 for a to go order of 6 tacos and a quesadilla and a drink. While the food was good, not sure if the price was worth it considering all of the other Mexican food options nearby. Also, the tacos didn't come with any sides (rice, beans, etc.) which was unfortunate for the price.
The In-Between: We found this place on Instagram based on a video review someone did. The parking was a little tough. The service was cool for our to go order.“
