“Love this place! Great service, super friendly staff, and the bagels are incredible — we’ve tried a few different kinds and they’re all amazing. Nice outdoor seating too if you want to sit and enjoy your bagel. Definitely one of the best bagel spots in the Valley!“

“I live in the Hollywood area and have passed by Sam’s Bagels more times than I can count. There’s usually a line, which finally made me stop and ask myself, “Alright… what’s the fuss?”
Well. The fuss is 100% justified.
Funny enough, when I stopped by, there was barely any line at all — maybe the bagel gods were smiling down on me that day. These bagels are clearly made in heaven and gently delivered straight into Sam’s shop. I’m not even exaggerating. I wish I had a picture to share, but the bagel disappeared so fast it didn’t stand a chance. In fact, I turned around and came back within 10 minutes to get another one. Then somehow I walked out with another bagel and a half dozen. Don’t ask where they went — they simply vanished. Mysterious. Tragic. Delicious.
On top of that, the staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. Even without a line, they were friendly, quick, and made the whole experience even better.
Amazing bagels, very reasonable pricing, and absolutely worth the visit. If you’re looking for a top-tier breakfast spot in Hollywood, do yourself a favor and visit this heavenly place. Just don’t expect leftovers.“
“Since I was 4 years old in 1980, I have always believed Western Bagel to be the best bagel in the Los Angeles area (and possibly the world). But random happenstance had me doing business on this particular block of Ventura Blvd and craving a bagel at the same time. I went into Abraham bagel and ordered my favorite, the onion bagel. It is difficult to explain the experience; bagels are 80% texture. And Abraham Bagel wasn't just better than Western Bagel. It was a unique, interesting texture that I'd never experienced in a bagel before. A little bit harder than the Western, but also in this zone of perfection. This bagel that I ate forced me to re-evaluate my bagel scale. I am in awe.“
“Their bagels are really good, I had mine with the lox spread… I loved it!“
“For me, this is a top 5 LA coffee shop because it’s solid and straightforward. Great latte, cold brew, and drip coffee. Laidback ambiance and no pretentious energy. Delicious pastries and cute trinkets for purchase. Staff have always been friendly. Parking isn’t necessary hard to find but I rarely get a spot right in front…just gotta do a lap or two.“

“Mike at Mama Donuts decorated our donuts as a turntable for our daughter’s 50th birthday. It was a vinyl record party theme! The donuts were amazing! The decor, the taste. They fit the theme and they were scrumptious. Mike was so great! He was responsive and his customer service was excellent. I highly recommend Mama’s Donuts whenever you want donuts!“

“Small family run shop. Solid donuts and solid breakfast sandwiches. We live in the neighborhood and come here often.
Note there is not a lot of seating inside so it’s more of a grab and go. There are a few seats outside.“

“First of all, whole wheat bagels you’re available here. My favorite is the whole wheat sesame toasted and dressed traditionally with lox, cream cheese, tomato, red onion and capers. A Saturday tradition with me. Highly recommended.“

“The manager is very friendly and professional. I am in a wheelchair, and some of the front desk staff ignore me. I came with my nurse. She waited in line twice and told them I needed to order, showing I was where the handicapped sign was. Both times, they ignored her and went to the next customer. When I said you sipped me, they said I have to wait in line. I did three times but they ignored my nurse. The staff also does not assist my nurse. She was sold two tiny cream cheese instead of the ones in the refrigerator. Plus i do not get a bakers dozen ever. They sell 12 but i say its 13 and they corrct me. I never have these issuss in Van Nuys. Nor when the manager assists me.“
“Stop In Donuts is exactly what you hope for when you walk into a neighborhood donut shop. The owner has a genuinely friendly, easygoing disposition that makes you feel welcome from the moment you step in.
If you like supporting local, no-frills, family-owned businesses that treat customers like neighbors, this place is worth the stop. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.“

“They were sold out of some of the popular specialty donuts but the food and coffee was good. The prices have increased and are not as low as $1.25 per donut. Everything has understandably increased in price. The donuts all start at $2.00.“
“By far the BEST coffee, juice, bagels and donuts I have EVER had!!!It’s my first stop when I get to LA and believe me I dream of their iced vanilla ice coffees when I’m home in Canada. First time ever having flavoured coffee without it being flavoured from a sweet syrup. They infuse their beans so bo sugar or cream needed for me.Tip: they do sell the coffee beans so you can bring it home.Favourites: Black Vanilla Ice Coffee, Fresh squeezed orange juice, cheese bagel, glazed donut! The juice is like biting an orange directly. So fresh and delicious!“

“The bagel sandwiches are so good. I think for the price you’re getting great quality and a nice portion. I’m pretty picky about my bacon, and they serve great bacon. I will say that sometimes they don’t carry their entire menu, which can be a little sad. However I think that that really speaks to have fresh their baked goods are. Really great staff too. They only take card, but there is an atm in the store.“

“After reading some reviews, I took my family to Donut Den. They open at 4 AM and close at 8 PM, everyone had something different, and we all agreed, that donut Donut Den has the best donuts that you have ever eaten in your life! So light and fluffy, perfect amount of glaze, and the price unbelievably low for Los Angeles. If you’re in the area, even if you’re not in the area, Donut Den is the place, make the trip! If they had one in Kansas City, I would weigh 350 pounds!! Absolutely delightful!!!“
