“Ordered the original and sauce combo. Price point was fair. The boneless pieces were the issue, some came a little dry, and saucing consistency was a little uneven. There’s some latitude, given this was a pick up. Pick up was a little slower but not by much. The service area a little marred by the homeless pop around.“

Had the dumplings (better than the average resto appetizer dumplings), tofu & veg bowl with garlic Serrano sauce, and the spicy WaBo chicken & veg bowl. Great meal, super fresh. If you’re looking for a quick bite on the way north or south, I can’t imagine a better healthy and delicious option.“

“I went to Box Chicken for the first time today and picked up 2 box meals and an extra box of chicken tenders. I got a mix of original, hot and spicy tenders along with white rice, green beans, house pickles, potato salad and Japanese rice. Everything was delicious! Lol I almost ate the box too ?. The tenders were super crispy and flavorful. My wife and son are in for a treat when they get home!“

“The food here is not as good as the Macho burger in San Gabriel. They need to do a better quality control. The meat is super hard and dry here. We went here only because it’s closer but I would definitely go San Gabriel next time. BTW their ordering machine is not working when we are trying to order a combo meal. The waiter here is nice though, he tried his best to help us when the machine is not working. Otherwise I will give 3 stars instead of 4.“

Aleksandra, Sadee, Corrina and The rest of the staff are a lot of fun we spent a lot of time asking them about which pole I should try. I finally settled on the ribeye steak bowl with no rice… I had to have the garlic Serano sauce which Karina made clear was her favorite and turned out to be mine too but I had to add a couple packets of hot sauce the grapefruit drink I was enjoying was perfect with the spicy flavor and the meat was cooked to perfection! the store is kept very clean! Waba Wednesday means two chicken bowls for $12.99!“

“Anzu is closed, it has moved to Menya Tigre, and my favorite meal (Karaage & Curry) has changed for the worse. it’s still amazing karaage, the best in sawtelle, but now there is half as much chicken and no egg. Anzu has been a go to spot for me for years, it’s unfortunate to see these changes.“

“GREAT chicken. Very crispy and not too heavy like some others out there. Me and my wife ordered 2 small 8 piece bone-in wings (Original Golden flavor), fries and coleslaw. The fries were some of the best I’ve had. Coleslaw was fresh & not too sweet.

My only two gripes with the food are: 1.the price) A little on the expensive end, as back home (Palmdale) we could get an eight piece combo with fries and a drink for the same price as just an 8 piece wings here alone (Korean place too). All good though, inflation hits everyone. Means we just will come here once in a while. And 2) you can only choose one marinade per wing set. Every wing spot I’ve been to allows you to do 1/2 one flavor and 1/2 another. Pretty standard practice, so I thought that was a little disappointing.

One more thing I should mention about the service: I wish the lady (she was Asian) would have suggested me and my wife share a medium (16 piece). It is cheaper to go that route if you both want the same flavor ($30.99) versus two smalls ($33.98). Would have saved us some money and been a nice gesture, but it’s hard to expect that when someone is running a business. Didn’t realize until after the fact.

Anyways, I’d recommend giving them a shot. Just note the things mentioned above before going, if they matter to you.“

“They have lunch specials with your choice of 1 or 2 entrees and it comes with chow mein and feied rice. I decided to get one full order of kung pao chicken ($20 with tax). The nice lady at the counter offered if I can wait for a few minutes and they will cook a fresh batch for me. There's already a batch on the chaffing dish but I was on a rush and waited for the freshly cooked ones. She also gave me a free meal pack of rice!

The kung pao chicken was well seasoned and the serving was huge. I was even able to divide the leftover it into 4 of serving portions. I would love to comeback and try their beef and brocolli, orange chicken and stir fried veggies.“
